Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor said,

“You never know when you’re going to give up. But I’m enjoying it.”

Like Eastwood, 76 years old, Steven Spielberg once shared that his time behind the camera wasn’t close to its end. He shared that he and his good friend Clint Eastwood discussed retirement.

Academy Award winner Spielberg said in a 2012 interview with Digital Spy,

“I have no plans to quit. Clint Eastwood is one of my best friends, and we have an almost jokey relationship about retirement.”

The Indiana Jones director also confided that he and Eastwood made a retirement pact between themselves.

“Clint’s 81 now, and I always say ‘Clint, are you ready to retire?’, he says ‘No, are you?’, I say ‘No’. I’ve been waiting for the phone call that says Clint is hanging up his Spurs. If it doesn’t happen for Clint, it’s not going to happen for me.”

Clint Eastwood is presently working on his upcoming film named Juror #2. It will have Nicholas Hoult and Toni Collette as the protagonists. As per The Hollywood Reporter, it will be the final film of Eastwood as the actor will be 93 by the time shoot of the film begins.

“Sources say that the actor-director wanted to find one last project in order to be able to ride off into the sunset with his head held high.”

The story of the Juror #2 covers an ongoing murder trial where one of the jurors realizes that he killed the victim in a reckless-driving accident. He tries to save the defendant and avoid confessing his crime.

Steven Spielberg’s recently directed film The Color Purple will release by the end of the year, and he will next be associated with Bradley Cooper lead film Bullitt.
