According to General Hospital teasers, Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) will be trying to obtain information about Aurora to use against Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell). Given that he was aware of Nina Reeves’s (Cynthia Watros) SEC secret before to developing amnesia, it appears he will choose to use blackmail to coerce her into providing him with intelligence. All of this is part of his scheme to seize control of ELQ, but will it succeed and what will happen next?
Nina Reeves Will Scramble
GH spoilers state that at first, Ned agreed to keep Nina’s SEC spill a secret. Once he regained his memories, he and Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) decide to keep the information under wraps.
After all, spilling it would only cause major drama for everyone, and as Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMcullen) is finally over her leukemia bout and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is still glowing from his honeymoon, why create friction?
Still, this ELQ, and while Eddie Maine was all about the music, Ned is all about his family’s legacy. Nina will scramble once she realizes that Mr. Q is about to play hardball.
Nina Reeves Has A Plan
As Ned doesn’t realize that Michael knows about SEC and is holding it over Nina’s head, Reeves might run straight to her stepson. After all, Nina may not like Michael and what he’s doing to her, but he is Sonny’s son.
Additionally, if she can gain his trust, perhaps he will stop using his current kind of blackmail, allowing her to visit her daughter and grandchildren anytime she pleases (rather than only when Michael permits it).
Nothing would make Nina happier than for the entire family to get together, especially as the holidays approach.
Nina might present Ned’s blackmail to Michael. The two may conclude that Reeves provides him with either minimal “insider” knowledge or wholly fake information that will ultimately backfire on him.
In any case, Ned’s attempt to use blackmail to force Nina to assist him could come back to haunt him severely.
