Former Home and Away star Sam Frost has stunned fans after revealing she has undergone a hair transformation. Taking to Instagram, the actress showcased her new look, choosing darker, shorter locks over the long, blonde locks she previously rocked.

Sam shared several snaps from an event, with her followers sharing their thoughts on her new look.

“Obsessed with your hair!!!! You look gorgeous,” one user wrote.

“Wow Sam!! Obsessed with the new hair colour 🤎 it suits you so much,” another said.

“Love your dark hair Sam,” a third added.

“You look beautiful. Time to bring those beautiful looks back to Summer Bay,” someone else wrote.

“I swear you can pull off any hair colour 😍 absolutely stunning as always!” another fan said.

Some of Sam’s former Home and Away cast mates also shared their thoughts, with Lynn McGranger writing, “Just gorgeous Sammy.”

‘Have a bit more of a filter’

To mark ten years since she first appeared on The Bachelor Australia, Sam appeared on The Morning Show on Wednesday morning and shared her advice for her younger self.

“Yeah, you know, you don’t have to say everything that you think. Sometimes. You know, have a bit m ore of a filter, mate,” she said, referencing a video she shared comparing the Covid restrictions on unvaccinated people to “segregation”.

The video came after she left Home and Away, and while Seven required all cast and crew to be vaccinated, Sam’s exit was unrelated and due to her mental health at the time.

“I was really hesitant about doing a video or even speaking up about this sort of thing, but I feel like it’s getting to a point now in the world where there’s a lot of segregation,” Sam says in the infamous video. “There’s a lot of harsh judgement and opinions being thrown around a lot and it’s taking its toll on my mental health for sure, and I know people around me are struggling – particularly if they’re on the side of they don’t want to get vaccinated, for whatever reason.

“There are lots of different reasons why people are not getting vaccinated and it might be because of their medical history, their concerns, they might have family history, it could be religious reasons.”

‘Stopped talking to me’

Sam, who is now a mum-of-one, later got vaccinated and told Stellar Magazine of her surprise at how some of her own friends reacted to the video.

“The bullying of unvaccinated people was disgusting. Friends I’d had for years stopped talking to me,” she said. “I never said I didn’t want to get it. I’m not an anti-vaxxer – are you kidding me?

“But I feel it’s quite unreasonable to assume that everyone’s going to think exactly the same way and that people are going to come to the exact same conclusion in the same time frame.

“I got torn to f***ing pieces. That was someone in a very vulnerable position talking about their struggles with mental health.”
