“Veteran actor Clint Eastwood transformed a nearly dilapidated farmhouse into a luxurious retreat, which Morgan chose as the venue for her elegant wedding!
The farmhouse, built in the early 1850s, features 31 guest rooms, a renovated restaurant and bar, and stunning views. The property also has a gym and tennis courts.
Clint’s connection to the farm began when he was a 21-year-old recruit at Fort Ord. Looking for a quick, cheap meal and a soda, he discovered the farmhouse. It was once a humble restaurant and hotel, and was previously a dairy farm and Fort Ord officers’ club.
He fell in love with the place immediately. “When I first saw the place, I thought it was amazing. Visually, it was something different, and I thought this is where I wanted to call home.
So I accepted Carmel,” Clint recalls. After his success in Hollywood, Clint returned, bought the ranch, and completely renovated it. He turned it into a home and a retreat for those looking to escape their busy lives.
The ranch holds a special place in Clint’s heart because it was where he directed his first film. In the 1980s, when the land was about to be demolished for condos, Clint swooped in and saved it, spending $5 million.
“I’ve always loved this place, and they were going to bulldoze it. They said it was outdated. I thought it should be preserved as it is,” he shares.”
