10 years ago, you’d see Tom Cruise everywhere. From 2005 to 2012, Tom and his family were in the media spotlight — they documented his and wife Katie Holmes’s every move, including the famous “Oprah” couch jump, a lavish Italian wedding for “TomKat,” and the birth of their daughter, Suri.
Just days after Suri was born, Cruise told ABC News that her arrival was “spiritual” and “powerful.” He also spoke to NBC at the time about his involvement in the Church of Scientology.
Now, however, the actor rarely makes public appearances. When was the last time the paparazzi caught Tom Cruise on the street or anywhere other than a movie set or premiere? After years of passionate relationships—with Holmes, ex-wife Nicole Kidman, “Vanilla Sky” co-star Penélope Cruz, even Cher—he hasn’t dated a woman in years.
That’s not to say he hasn’t dated. It’s just that Cruise has more control over his image than any other star around.
The last time Tom was seen romantically linked to a woman was with his “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One” co-star, actress Hayley Atwell, in late 2020.
“My sources say Tom is obsessed with whoever he’s with. He directs a lot of his energy toward whoever he’s with, like Nicole and Katie. He’s always ‘on’…” – Tony Ortega, the “Underground Bunker” blog and a leading Scientology expert, told The Post – “But Tom hasn’t been seen with anyone in a serious relationship in 10 years, which is very unusual for him. I think he’s dating somewhere. But Tom does a really good job of keeping his life private now.”
Experts say that whenever Tom is seen somewhere now, it’s always on his own terms. Tom appeared on “The Late Late Show with James Corden” this week and had a rare night out with Lady Gaga in concert at the Park MGM in Las Vegas. But even that was for promotional purposes: Gaga recorded a new “Top Gun” track, “Hold My Hand,” and she posted a photo of herself and Cruise kissing on the cheek.
