‘Our little bubba entered our little family happy and healthy …’
A Farmer Wants a Wife couple from the 2023 season have welcomed a baby.
The stars took to Instagram to share the exciting news after successfully keeping the pregnancy secret.
Matt Young and Olivia Benic, who fell in love on Channel Seven’s popular dating show last year, shared the news on Instagram on August 17.
Benic posted a photo of the new parents with their newborn, expressing gratitude to their loved ones for helping them enjoy the experience in private.
”286 days of carrying you, eight hours of labour without pain relief, and what has felt like a lifetime of waiting … our little bubba entered our family happy and healthy on Thursday,” Benic wrote.
She also thanked their close friends, family, and “baggy clothes” for their support during the pregnancy and for keeping the news quiet.
The new parents announced they would be stepping away from social media for a while to settle into parenthood.
“We are so very happy and look forward to sharing more when we are ready,” Benic added.
The comment section was filled with congratulatory messages from friends, family, and fellow Farmer Wants a Wife alumni.
Claire Saunders, who appeared on their season wrote: “Oh my goodness … Congratulations, so happy for you both!”
2024 contestant Keely McCarthy simply said: “Congratulations.”
This exciting news comes after the couple revealed in March they had purchased their first home together.
“Soooo we did a thingggg …!” Benic wrote on Instagram at the time.
This is the second baby from relationships formed during the successful 2023 season.
Farmer Brad and partner Clare Hockings welcomed their son Roy in December 2023, announcing the news soon after their season of the show aired.
And Farmer David and his partner Emily announced their engagement in October 2023.
