“I’m not going to drag you to the altar”
Farmer Wants a Wife Australia 2023‘s Claire Saunders has revealed the truth about her cancelled wedding with Andrew Coleman, and not a drop of tea was left unserved!
ICYMI: On July 8, Claire took to Instagram to announce that the couple, who got engaged in March, had cancelled their September wedding “due to reasons out of [their] control”.
Confusingly, one of Andrew’s mates told So Dramatic! the wedding was “postponed”, not cancelled.
Meanwhile, Claire’s friends confirmed she hadn’t broken up with Andrew, and they were taking some time to cool off due to family issues.
However, sh*t got even weirder when eagle-eyed fans caught Claire SELLING her wedding dress on Facebook Marketplace, and calling Andrew a “f*ckwit” in the comments.
During her tell-all on episode 405 of the So Dramatic! podcast, Claire set the record straight about her cancelled wedding, before revealing where she stands with Andrew.
Farmer Wants a Wife‘s Claire Saunders reveals who called off the wedding
Whilst reports stated that Andrew was the one who cancelled the wedding, Claire revealed that this wasn’t the case.
“Andrew was quite stressed due to the wedding planning and his father being unwell… So we started arguing about silly things,” Claire told host Megan Pustetto.
After noticing how distant he was, Claire asked the farmer if he still wanted to get married.
“He said: ‘I don’t know’,” she confessed. “I asked him why we got engaged, and he said it was because that’s the natural progression of things.” Yikes.
“I saw red. Then I said: ‘I’m not going to drag you to the altar’. And the next day I told him I was cancelling the wedding. It was supposed to be a joyous time… I felt like he took that away from me.”
The truck driver confessed that calling off her wedding was a “big kick in the guts” because she’d put a lot of effort into her relationship with Andrew,
“I made so many compromises and sacrifices, and I felt like it was all one-sided,” she confessed.

Claire then admitted that her relationship with Andrew was officially dunzo.
“We’re over, we’re finished,” she said. “I’m seeing out the dry season here in Darwin, and when that finishes up, I’ll pick up the rest of my stuff [from Andrew’s farm] and head to Tasmania.
Host Megan Pustetto later asked Claire if there was any chance of getting back together with Andrew.
“No. The ship has sailed for me because of the amount of damage that he has caused in all relationships, not just ours,” she said.
“My family’s relationship with him, his family’s relationship with me. It’s not harmonious now. It’s not as pure as it was.”

Despite breaking up with Andrew, Claire revealed that she’s planning on having kids sometime soon.
“I’ve decided that I’m going to do IVF with a donor,” she beamed.
“I’m in my late 30s, and even if Andrew and I were to get back together, there’s so much damage to repair that we wouldn’t be ready for that for a couple of years, and I don’t have a couple of years anymore.”
