Farmer Wants A Wife’s Joe Responds To Engagement Rumours After Major Clue

Farmer Wants A Wife’s Joe Bobbin has broken his silence following speculation that he and his partner Sarah Carey are engaged. The season 14 couple has gone from strength to strength since leaving the show, with Sarah recently starting a new job just a short distance from Joe’s farm in Bombala, NSW to be closer to him.

It’s only been a couple of weeks since the reunion aired, however, fans have already begun speculating that Joe and Sarah are engaged after noticing a surprising detail in her recent Instagram post. Over the weekend Sarah uploaded a video performing an original song she had written for Joe during filming which was never shown on TV.

While her followers applauded the song, saying she has a “beautiful voice” and they were “disappointed” it was cut from the show, they were also quick to point out that she’s wearing a large ring on what appears to be the fourth finger on her left hand – aka where someone traditionally wears an engagement ring.

“Is that an engagement ring I see?” one person asked, while another added, “I spy with my little eye a pretty ring on your finger”.

“Omg I didn’t even notice!” a third replied, followed by someone else who said, “First thing I noticed! Do you have something to tell everyone Sarah?”.

“Wait a minute… it looks like you have a special piece of bling on your finger, is that what I think it is? I really hope so,” a different user replied.

Farmer Joe responds to rumours

While Sarah has yet to comment on the speculation, Joe remained tightlipped when contacted for comment by Yahoo Lifestyle. However, he did admit that he found it funny how quickly the public moves from one theory to another.

“It was only a week ago we were short odds for being broken up. We move quick around here,” he joked.

Following this, Joe appeared on CBR Wrapped on Thursday morning where he officially confirmed that he and Sarah aren’t engaged and she was actually wearing the ring on her right hand but the video had been flipped around.

“Sarah and I, our relationship really is only just starting in a sense,” he added. “We’re only just allowed to be together and do stuff. It was a bit difficult at the start of all that, but we’re just doing it one step at a time.”

Prior to the engagement rumours, the couple were rumoured to have called it quits after fans noticed Sarah didn’t attend the wedding of Joe’s close friends and former FWAW couple Andrew and Jess.

However, Sarah revealed to 7NEWS.com.au that the producers had advised her not to go because it would’ve spoiled Joe’s decision before it aired on TV.

“[Producers] didn’t want to give away the ending – which is totally understandable,” she said. “It was always known that whoever ended up with Joe was not allowed to go because they didn’t know timeframes (for the series to air) yet.”
