Whoa. When Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) went on a tearful, irate tirade to Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) over not being informed that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) traveled to Puerto Rico to get married, that’s all “General Hospital” spoilers could truly say.
Not only did she use her persona to jump a shark, but she also jumped a line of sharks and landed in a megalodon’s waiting maw. Sincerely.
“Hospital General” She’s been branded a spoilt, entitled brat by spoilers before, but this time, they took it to the next level.
And her reasoning? She’s left out and is the only Mean Girl left. Not her mother or brother bothered to tell her about the wedding because they knew she’s rant about it and they probably didn’t want to hear her spiel and whine.
Dex even asked her about it and that he didn’t think she cared, and she admitted she didn’t. She just feels alone.
Oh boy, here we go…
Time to grow up
Joss has to go to a serious counseling facility to address her anger management and sense of entitlement. She is a nice child, but she finds it difficult to move past her own bitterness.
Not even other people are involved. She believes that it is all about her, and she is unable to comprehend how others are able to mature and go on. She would want a new pacifier.
By the end of their scene, even Dex seemed to be becoming bored with her. Fortunately, they were spared when Pilar Rodriguez (Brenda Barberena) stopped by Joss’s room to inquire about whether they had seen Ava Jerome (Maura West).
She’s going to put off her tantrum for another day since she has something to do while she helps find Ava.
The problem with then be will she be rewarded like the show has rewarded Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) so much over the years?
How to avoid character growth 101
When the truth about Nina selling Carly and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) out to the FCC for insider trading, which they are guilty of, she’ll be all proud she never wavered in her hate and will be the first one to throw rotten fruit at Nina.
And most likely, much like Carly, that will be her depressing redemption tale in which she won’t have to change or grow.
However, what will Sonny’s reaction be if Michael doesn’t tell her what he finds out? This will be a turning point in her life. It will be interesting to observe how the authors approach it.
