Fans of General Hospital should get ready for an exciting November sweepstakes, according to spoilers. When Cameron Mathison’s character Drew Cain was eventually freed from prison, he endured severe psychological and physical abuse during his brief stay.

Drew is committed to protecting the people he loves with all of his might in addition to living life to the fullest. This could all be a recipe for catastrophe because Cyrus Renault, his former prison buddy, is also out of Pentonville and appears to be smitten with Drew’s love interest, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright).

Cameron Mathison Chimes In On Drew Cain’s Release

According to GH teasers, a confrontation between Cyrus and Drew might occur. particularly if Renault persists in attempting to get in touch with Carly, or if he happens to “run” into his daughter Scout Cain (Cosette Abinante).

Actor Cameron Mathison, who plays Drew, discussed his time in prison in a recent Soap Opera Digest (SOD) interview. He noted that what Cain experienced “tweaked” something in him.

Mathison continued by pointing out that Drew is leaving prison with a mindset of “protect” yourself and your loved ones “at any cost.”

His Programmed Soldier Persona Resurfaces

For fans who recall, Drew was once a programmed soldier who could be easily activated by Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy).

While he has been deprogrammed, that conditioning isn’t always completely erased. Plus, this is the land of soaps, where anything and everything is possible.

Cain faced several terrifying situations while incarcerated, so it’s possible that he felt defenseless when he was attacked. Drew will certainly be on his guard in Port Charles since he probably doesn’t want to experience that feeling ever again.

Still, Drew might become enraged and unleash a fury on Cyrus that might cause the criminal great harm if he attempts to tamper with Carly, Scout, or even Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco).

Drew still needs to behave himself well, even though some fans would really love to see this. He still has a six-month probation to complete, so he’s not exactly out of the woods yet.

Does Cyrus need to worry about Drew?
