The introduction of the Fowler family on Home and Away has certainly spiced things up in the Bay in recent times. First, there was Eden Fowler (Stephanie Panozzo), who descended with her band Lyrik, before settling in and shacking up with local cop Cash Newman (Nicholas Cartwright). Then came Levi (Tristan Gorey), Eden’s estranged brother who she recently punched after their father also turned up in the Bay (more on that in a bit). And now, comes their younger sister Abigail.
The official Home and Away Instagram account announced newcomer Hailey Pinto’s arrival as Abigail Fowler. “Summer Bay is buzzing with excitement as the Fowler family welcomes their third member! 🎉 Get ready for Abigail Fowler, brought to life by the sensational Hailey Pinto, making a splashy entrance soon!”
But first, the TL;DR on Home and Away’s Fowler family
A good friend of Felicity Newman (Jacqui Purvis) and a past romantic connection of Cash’s, Eden arrived in the Bay with her band and took up residency at Paratas’ house, before the band moved into the house across the road and settled in the Bay permanently. Eden drip-fed pieces of her past throughout episodes, saying she grew up in a funeral home and was expected to take over the family business, and that she’s estranged from her brother and father after her father cheated on her mother.
Levi, a cardiothoracic surgeon, arrived in the Bay to treat Mackenzie Booth (Emily Weir) and he and Eden had many tense exchanges along the waterfront as he tried to repair their relationship: It appeared Levi’s biggest sin in life was the fact he opted to go live with their father when they were teenagers after their dad cheated. Unfortunately, as the two began to repair their relationship, Levi took the lessons he had growing up and cheated on his wife Imogen with Mac. As you can imagine, when Eden found out she was super triggered, extremely furious and ran him over with her car and he died.
No, I’m just kidding. But she wasn’t happy.
Throughout their time in the Bay, Eden and Levi have had their own separate traumas: Eden’s been in a car accident which resulted in a coma, and she later got kidnapped while out camping with Cash. (Can’t a gal just have an innocent wee in the bush around here!)
Levi’s been stabbed and only just survived. So you can say that the two have had their ups and downs and that all of this drama should bring them together, but in a recent episode, Eden punched her brother in the face after their father Jimmy (Aaron Jeffrey) turned up in the Bay.
Home and Away fans welcome new arrival
Home and Away fans are already busy speculating about Abigail’s arrival in town because it can’t be as simple as her family just living there. Not when your siblings are Eden and Levi anyway.
“Would she be like a counsellor type person for Irene, as she is off the wagon again?” one person queried. “How long until she is kidnapped?” another joked. “How long ’til she’s lying in their local hospital bed?” another quipped.
“We must be very close to Eden and Cash’s engagement party,” someone else speculated. “I KNEW LEVI AND EDEN’S SISTER WOULD TURN UP EVENTUALLY,” another very, very excited fan yelled.
While we don’t know much about Abigail’s storyline yet we could easily predict a couple of things: if she doesn’t join a cult by the end of the year, she’s likely to get kidnapped, hit over the head with a surfboard in the ocean, get caught up in a scam, or somehow end up in hospital with her brother tasked with saving her life. We’ll just have to wait and see!
