John and Kirby are having a chat on the beach when they see Abigail storming away from Levi. John attempts to introduce himself to the third Fowler sibling, but she is not in the mood. Levi convinces her to have breakfast with him and continues to try to talk her around to staying.

On their way back, they run into Mackenzie and Mali, and Mackenzie reaffirms that she does want Abigail to live with them. But Abigail’s response is cold and Mackenzie flares back up. Mackenzie and Levi leave Abigail alone with Mali. Mali is naturally kind to Abigail and she’s happy to have a new friend.

Later, Mackenzie and Levi sit down with the new friends and officially ask Abigail to be their housemate. Abigail apologises for the way she handled things, and it’s the first genuine moment between her and Mackenzie. She accepts their offer.

Meanwhile, Remi watches on uncomfortably as Cash tries to convince Eden to keep her job at Salt. After Eden refuses and sends Cash away, Remi sits with her while she searches for alternative jobs and notices she’s not wearing the ring anymore. He pays Cash a visit to try and get through to him about his decision to push Eden away. He tells Cash he shouldn’t be at Salt and he needs to find a different way forward that doesn’t harm Eden.

With Remi’s advice in mind, Cash asks John what he thinks about the situation. John helps Cash realise that his connection with Felicity will always be with him, regardless of whether he continues to run Salt. He pays Eden a visit to let her know he’s stepping down from his position at Salt. She can keep her job.

Elsewhere, Kirby wants to get Mali’s art commendation framed and put on the wall, but is worried about overstepping, which she’s got in trouble for in the past. He ends up being touched by the gesture, appreciating that his friends believe in him, which is way better than winning a prize. Then, Mali gets a call from an unknown number – one of the art competition judges wants to represent Mali’s art in his gallery.
