Home And Away Spoiler: Bronte Lies Over Dana’s Absence

Harper wonders where Dana is. Bronte repeats the story that she told Irene, claiming that Dana has gone away for a few days. Xander hasn’t heard from her either, but it strikes him as odd that she’d tell Bronte she was leaving and not he and Harper. Later, Xander tells Alf that he can’t shake the feeling she’s not okay.

Bronte can hardly believe her luck when Leah’s $25,000 clears into her account, but Irene’s bank hasn’t released her funds yet. Bronte lies that there’s one place left in the clinical trial or else she has to wait six months, time she likely doesn’t have. Moved, Irene says she’ll phone the bank and try to hurry up the transfer.

Xander is still worried about Dana when Bronte tells him she has just heard from her – claiming that she finally apologised and she has gone to a silent retreat. Xander queries that she would go somewhere and voluntarily give up her phone, and later wonders if anyone would even call a landline these days.

Bronte tells Chase on the phone that she’s waiting for Irene’s money before she cuts and runs – she has come too far to give up now.

Meanwhile, Cash ponders a future at Mangrove River when Felicity enters – she’s been on a date with Rory, and they waste no time retreating to her room to “get to know each other”. He and Eden head to hers, but he notes he’s glad to see his sister happy. Alone together, Eden encourages him to take the job.

However, after Eden talks to Alf about the down and out suburb, she’s turned off enough to tell Cash not to take the job. He thinks he should find out why the last officer left, and after he does some digging, he discovers the cop he’d be replacing was murdered. Eden hopes this means he’s not taking the job, but he says he’s still thinking about it. Is Cash pondering a career move that could put him in danger?
