Mackenzie Booth is set to turn against Mali Hudson as Levi Fowler is stabbed in Home and Away.
In the new scenes set to air for UK viewers next week, Mali learns that his visiting brother Iluka has ‘borrowed’ $8,000 from the dangerous criminal family the Allens.
As a result, Mali reaches out to the Allens as he wants to return the money, reminding Iluka that it’s the right thing to do rather than hide from them forever.
Later, Mack and Levi are approached by a woman at the surf club, who asks about Mali’s whereabouts as she is looking to collect a surfboard. Mack provides his address, but suspicions are raised when the woman returns to two men waiting outside.
Sure enough, they return home to find the house trashed and are greeted by the woman, Nat, whose henchmen threaten them with knives, as she demands Mack and Levi sit down and give up their phones.
The intruders reveal that they are the Allens, and want their money back. When Mali returns home he finds Mack tied up and gagged, telling the Allens he will talk to Iluka if they free her.
However, while they agree, things take a turn for the worse when a now untied Levi lunges at the Allens and a fight breaks out. Levi is stabbed as a result, and Mack begs them to call an ambulance.
They refuse unless they see Iluka, with Mali the only person that can get through to him.
Levi takes a bad turn in Mack’s arms as the Allens continue to demand Mali to call his brother – although when Mali tries to call an ambulance, they manage to grab the phone.
Mali reluctantly gives in after Mack scolds him for not calling Iluka, and while they wait, Levi’s condition worsens, especially as the Allens refuse access to a medical bag.
Forced to improvise, Mali and Mack get cling film from the kitchen to tape the puncture, which helps Levi’s breath to return despite his pain.
Iluka finally turns up, and it becomes clear that Nat’s grudge is personal as Iluka broke her heart. However, he is less sentimental and tells her to take the money and leave.
Yet she still refuses to call an ambulance until the money is counted, and as Levi’s condition worsens further, Nat allows Mack to go to the medical bag under the watch of one of her brothers.
Mack then manages to pierce Levi’s chest with a cannula to relieve the pressure, and when the Allens finish counting the money, Mali offers himself and Iluka in exchange for help.
Yet Nat declares that the visit was about teaching a lesson rather than the money, and that they will take Iluka.
Later at the hospital, Mack releases her anger towards Mali as Levi is wheeled into surgery, telling him he knowingly put them in danger.
Will their friendship ever recover?
