Home And Away’s Mali Hudson Left Devastated After New Setback

Home and Away’s Mali Hudson gets upset as his new career direction hits a hurdle on UK screens next week.

The Summer Bay soap has been exploring a new side of Mali’s artistic talent following encouragement he has received from his friend Kirby Aramoana.

While everyone knows about Mali’s eye-catching surfboard designs, Kirby recently discovered that he’s a talented painter on canvas too.

Kirby encouraged Mali to pursue this further and enter his artwork into a competition. Despite initially being reluctant, Mali was eventually convinced to go for it.

In next week’s episodes on Channel 5, Mali eagerly awaits the results of the art competition.

When Mali reveals that the organisers have been in touch to double-check his details, Kirby gets carried away and suggests that it’s because he’s won.

Just as Mali starts to believe it himself, he receives an email which confirms that someone else was victorious.

Mali kicks himself, wondering why he ever got so excited over the prospect of his art finally going somewhere.

Although Mali confides in Alf Stewart with the true outcome, he holds back from telling Kirby the truth and claims that the results haven’t come through yet.

Mali can’t keep up the pretence for long, as he later receives a package in the mail at the Surf Club, which contains his returned painting and a letter of commendation.

Still feeling glum, Mali finally tells Kirby that he didn’t win. Kirby is baffled over his stance, pointing out that he still received a commendation on his first try and should be proud of himself.

Will Mali take on board Kirby’s encouragement and stop being so hard on himself?
