Home and Away’s Tane Parata is set to turn back to Harper Matheson during a dispute with John Palmer.

Last month, Tane spent the night with Harper at the gym on the eve of his sentencing in the baby kidnapping case.

After spending time in the city to take part in a training course, Tane returned to the Bay and began making plans to set up his own programme at the gym – an idea that John later rejected.

To make matters worse, Harper soon backed out of the project after struggling with her feelings for Tane.

In upcoming scenes, John remains opposed to Tane’s youth programme proposal, which would help troubled teenagers turn their lives around. A wary John insists that he doesn’t want the Surf Club overrun by juvenile delinquents.

Alf sides with Tane, who has always run a tight ship. John then counters that Tane nearly faced prison time for kidnapping a few weeks ago.

When John then overhears Tane counselling a troubled Mali, he softens and tells Alf that Tane is ready to step up at the Surf Club.

Unfortunately, John’s change of heart could have come too late, as the Surf Club committee have been spooked by John’s previous email about teens causing havoc at the club. Can John convince the committee to change their mind?

Later, Alf sits down with Tane to reveal his action plan, but they need to get Harper on board. Tane is reluctant after he recently agreed to give Harper space from their friendship.

Tane ultimately decides to break this commitment when he asks her to meet with Alf. He also asks that she exaggerate her involvement in the youth club as a social worker during the conversation.

Harper feels bad about being dishonest, but the meeting is a success and the programme is back on track. Tane then promises he’ll find a way to get Harper out of her commitment.

Will Harper get enough space to get over Tane?
