Is ‘Yellowstone’ On Tonight? Return Date, Season 5, Episode 9 Streaming Info

One of the most popular Sunday night shows is about to return tonight! I’m, of course, talking about Bill Hader’s exceptional HBO series Barry. Sadly, Yellowstone is still on hiatus, but we have a few suggestions to fill that giant ranch-shaped hole in your streaming schedule.

If you’re in the mood for a captivating dramedy, Netflix’s extraordinary new series Beef is for you. Created by Lee Sung Jin, the ten-episode season centers on the aftermath of a road rage incident between Danny Cho (Steven Yeun) and Amy Lau (Ali Wong), two strangers who soon become embroiled in a sinister Tom and Jerry on steroids-esque feud with dire consequences for all involved. The show is the perfect marriage of expertly crafted storytelling and virtuoso theatrical performances; a savvy exploration of class and existential dread; and perhaps most importantly a return to prestige TV for Netflix.

If you’re looking for a new comedy, we highly, highly recommend pressing play on Amazon Freevee’s sensational new mockumentary reality series Jury Duty. Created by former Office writers Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky and directed by Jake Szymanski, Jury Duty not only exudes hilarity — Lisa Gilroy’s scene from Episode 3 is one of the funniest TV moments of 2023 — but it’s also the rare feel-good reality show that’ll make you smile. It eschews mean-spirited cringe humor and instead prioritizes the inherent kindness of its lead character. But lets’ get back to Yellowstone, shall we?

When will Yellowstone return with new episodes? Here’s everything we know.

Is Yellowstone on Tonight (April 16)?

Nope. Yellowstone isn’t airing on Paramount Network tonight. The series is still on hiatus.

When Does The Next New Episode Of Yellowstone (Season 5, Episode 9) Air On Paramount Network?

Earlier this year, Paramount Network announced that Yellowstone would return in the “summer of 2023,” but that might not be the case. Reports surfaced in February that Kevin Costner could be leaving the series and that a new Matthew McConaughey-led show potentially featuring numerous Yellowstone stars would take its place, effectively continuing the franchise.

Fuel was added to the fire when a host of Yellowstone stars — including Costner and series creator Taylor Sheridan — no-showed a PaleyFest panel in Los Angeles on April 1. Per Variety, Paramount Network development president Keith Cox spoke at the beginning of the event, telling the attendees that he’s “very confident” Costner is still committed to the series and is hopeful that production will begin soon.

There are six episodes remaining in Season 5, so while a summer of 2023 premiere date isn’t out of the question, it’s very possible the show’s return will be delayed. There’s also a nuclear option in which this version of Yellowstone abruptly ends and the story is continued in the new McConaughey series. This could (theoretically) give Paramount+ streaming rights to the new series (Peacock currently has the first four seasons of Yellowstone), or the show could exclusively air on Paramount+ (like 1923 and 1883). But that’s pure speculation.

As of now, the official Yellowstone Season 5, Part 2 release date is still “summer of 2023,” but it’s definitely a story in flux.

Is Yellowstone On Paramount+?

Nope. But the first four seasons of Yellowstone are currently streaming on Peacock Premium.
