Can You Watch Yellowstone Season 5 On Peacock?

Now that Yellowstone is in on a mid-season break, can fans watch Season 5, Part 1 on Peacock? Unfortunately, that is not a possibility. They will start streaming all of Season 5 once all 14 episodes air.

But, fans who want to watch the first four seasons can watch the Kevin Costner-led series on Peacock.

However, all eight episodes of Season 5 can be purchased through Amazon Prime Video. In addition, you can buy episodes from iTunes, and Vudo.

Why Is Paramount Series On Peacock?

Why is Yellowstone on Paramount in the first place? The reason that the OG series can only be streamed on Peacock is due to timing. NBCUniversal purchased the streaming rights to the Taylor Sheridan series in 2020.

However, Paramount+ eventually premiered in 2021. That is why the spinoff prequels 1883 and 1923 are available to stream there on the network’s streaming channel.

When Will Yellowstone Season 5, Part 2 Premiere?

When can fans expect to see the remaining six episodes of Season 5? First, they need to film them. Originally, Taylor Sheridan was planning on starting to film the remaining episodes in mid-winter.

However, in early February, there were reports of chaos on the set. Paramount claimed that Kevin Costner was only available to work a week. That is just not enough for the remaining six episodes.

Next, Costner’s lawyer, Marty Singer, claimed that his client’s one-week availability was “lies.” The Field Of Dreams star’s camp revealed that the veteran actor was frustrated with the Yellowstone creator. This started when they began filming Season 5.

First, the scripts were not ready. Costner is said to be frustrated that Taylor Sheridan has a lot of projects on his plate. He is currently working on 10 different series, and the star of the series felt that this was keeping him from giving the OG series the attention it deserved.

This delay also meant that they moved the filming dates to a later time. All of Season 5 should have been filmed in 2022.

But, Costner got Covid during the filming. The reshoots were costly and caused delays. This was just the beginning.

Right now, fans are expecting Yellowstone to return in the summer. As they should start filming the remainder of the episodes soon, it is more than likely that the first of the final six episodes will premiere in the fall.

Once all six episodes premiere, the entire Season 5 will be available on Peacock for fans to stream.
