Kevin Costner and Christine Baumgartner are “now on speaking terms” following their divorce, which played out publicly and finalised earlier this month.
Kevin Costner and Christine Baumgartner are said to now be speaking for the sake of their children following their divorce battle.
The Yellows tone star’s divorce settlement came earlier this month following the couple’s split in May after 18 years of marriage.
Now, sources have made claims regarding the former couple’s current situation as they reportedly take the high road to put their divorce battle behind them.
“They are now on speaking terms. Things are better,” a source exclusively tells Us Weekly.
The insider added that the pair “didn’t want it to get ugly for the kids’ sake.”
However, the source added: “There won’t be a reconciliation. They’re moving on.”
The Hollywood actor is “thrilled that the negotiations are over,” the source added.
“At the end of the day, Christine is the mother to his children and he didn’t want to fight anymore.”
The former couple have spent the past four months wrapped up in legal issues over child support, housing, and technicalities related to their prenuptial agreement.
Costner’s legal team, headed by Laura Wasser, won a series of legal court dates, particularly in the child support department.
The Bodyguard star must give ex Baumgartner $63,000 each month for their three children – after she originally asked for a staggering $248,000.
Prior to this, the former handbag designer had been getting $129,000 in temporary support.
A joint statement provided to the MailOnline from the estranged couple read: “Kevin and Christine Costner have come to an amicable and mutually agreed upon resolution of all issues pertaining to their divorce proceedings.”
The estranged couple share sons Cayden, 15, and Hayes, 14, as well as daughter Grace, 12, and was married since 2004.
