NCIS Season 21 Episode 7 Release Date: When Will NCIS Return?

NCIS season 21 will be taking yet another hiatus so when will the drama return?

NCIS season 21 is in full swing but will be taking a break, leaving fans to wonder when it will make a comeback.

The CBS police procedural aired its sixth episode of its latest series on Monday, April 1, entitled Strange Invaders, where the team was led down a rabbit hole of UFO conspiracy beliefs.

The previous episode, The Plan, welcomed Agent Jessica Knight’s (played by Katrina Law) dad Feng Zhao, who was played by Westworld and The Oath actor Russel Wong.

When will NCIS season 21 episode 7 air?

NCIS sadly won’t be returning for season 21’s seventh episode which was expected to air on Monday, April 8 on CBS.

Instead, the drama is going to be taking a one-week hiatus which means season 21, episode seven, will come out on Monday, April 15.

The instalment is going to be called A Thousand Yards and will be a particularly exciting episode given that it is the franchise’s 1000th episode.

Episode seven will be the mothership’s 464th episode with the achievement counting all of the episodes from NCIS, NCIS Los Angeles, NCIS New Orleans, NCIS Hawaii and NCIS Sydney.

Few details have been given away regarding what will happen but the investigators are expected to face a “shadowy enemy from their past”.

In addition to this, Director Vance (Rocky Carroll) is going to try and mend the fractured relationship he has with his son.

Fans of the NCIS franchise will also be thrilled to see NCIS LA’s Daniela Ruah and NCIS Hawaii’s Vanessa Lachey join the team for a crossover special.

To commemorate the special occasion, there will be a feature-length behind-the-scenes show entitled NCISverse: The First 1,000 airing on Monday, April 8, on Entertainment Tonight.

Not only will it talk about shooting the all-important 1,000 episode but also see stars share their favourite moments from the franchise.

The cast is going to be popping up on a number of other shows in the meantime to promote the milestone.

Nick Torres actor Wilmer Valderrama is going to be talking on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on April 10, while Brian Dietzen and Diona Reasonover are going to feature on The Price is Right.

Gary Cole, Sean Murray, Rocky Carroll and Vanessa Lachey will also be making appearances on The Talk.

There has been plenty of excitement in recent months with the franchise once again expanding with two new spin-offs in the works.

The first is NCIS Origins, delving into the past of Leroy Gibbs (Mark Harmon), while the other is a spin-off following the movements of Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) and Ziva David (Cote de Pablo) in Europe.
