NCIS has released a brand new clip teasing Nick Torres’ arrest for murder in a sneak peak of season 21.
The clip, which was shared to Instagram, shows Wilmer Valderrama’s Torres being escorted away in handcuffs while Gary Cole’s Alden Parker tries to get to the bottom of what is happening.
At the end of the clip, Parker tells the team that Torres has been arrested. When asked what the charges are, he replies: “Murder.”
“You think you know someone and then… Here’s a sneak peek of NCIS season 21,” reads the caption of the clip.
The video has led to some fans questioning if it means the end for Valderrama’s character, which, considering there’s been no official word on him leaving the series, seems unlikely.
“Parker better help him out and I really hope that Torres comes back because he is my favorite person on the show and I hope it’s not the end for him because @wilmervalderrama is one of my favorite actors and I hope they figure everything out,” commented one concerned fan.
Meanwhile, it was recently confirmed that NCIS season 21 will include a whole episode dedicated to the late David McCallum who starred as the beloved Dr. Donald ‘Ducky’ Mallard and passed away last year.
Speaking about the special episode ahead of the new season, which premieres on February 12, co-showrunners David North and Steven D. Binder said in a joint statement: “Everyone at NCIS felt it was important to do an episode that honours such a legendary actor, not to mention a dear friend.
“In the episode, the team will learn of Ducky’s passing and reflect on their memories of him as they grieve. And true to Ducky’s meticulous and compassionate nature, even after he’s gone, he still manages to solve one last crime with the team.”
NCIS airs on CBS in the US. Seasons 1-20 are streaming on Disney+ in the UK.
