This year NCIS gave its fans the best gift ever by bringing back Tony DiNozzo and Ziva David and giving them their own spinoff. While fans may be disappointed to learn that the spinoff has found its home outside of cable, on a streaming platform called Paramount Plus, and that means shorter seasons for more money, it’s still an exciting prospect.
After so many years in the dark about the relationship between two iconic NCIS characters, and then a solid conclusion in season 17, no one believed that Cote de Pablo and Michael Weatherly would grace our screens again as the show’s most dynamic duo. Even better, you don’t have to wait until the show premieres to join the reunion.
NCIS Rewatch Podcast Premiere
In the style of The Office and Glee, NCIS has created an official podcast to promote the upcoming spinoff and give fans a little behind the scenes look. Both Cote de Pablo and Michael Weatherly will host the podcast with some of the former cast members and members of the production team as guests.
While it’s not yet clear if the podcast will only re-watch and react to key episodes in Tiva’s story, or if it will feature some of the very best NCIS episodes of all time, there is already a list of confirmed guests that would make any longtime fan twitch in excitement.
From Sean Murray and Sasha Alexander to guest star Jon Cryer, all guests will have the opportunity to share their own thoughts and funny stories from the set of one of the most popular and longest running procedurals on American television.
Those patiently awaiting the premiere of NCIS: Tony & Ziva, the spin-off that will chronicle the couple’s adventures in Paris as they try to balance their new life with all the baggage they carry from their experiences inside and outside NCIS, will be happy to know that the podcast will be here in less than a week.
Premiering on June 4, the podcast, titled Off Duty: An NCIS Rewatch, will be released weekly every Tuesday.
