With some of the most legendary queens in Drag Race “herstory,” the Canadian queens will have some steep competition. But I’m already living for every second of it. Get ready to meet the Season 2 cast!
1. Alexis Mateo: RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 3, All Stars Season 1, All Stars Season 5
As she says in her promo video: “How do you spell icon? A-L-E-X-I-S. If you don’t know my name, you don’t know nothing.”
2. Cheryl Hole: RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Season 1, UK vs. the World Season 1
Miss Hole is an original UK fan-favourite. And as a former contestant on Drag Race UK vs. the World, this now makes her a two-time co-star of Canada’s beloved queen, Lemon.
3. Lemon: Canada’s Drag Race Season 1, Drag Race UK vs. the World Season 1
When life gives you a Lemon, prepare to be g agged and gooped! I’m crossing my fingers that Lemon’s previous appearance on UK vs. the world will have our Canadian queen extra prepared to sashay her way to the top.
4. Eureka: RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 9 and 10, All Stars Season 6
Eureka (of the famous House of O’Hara) is also a four-time all-star vying for the international crown. I’d say break a leg but she actually did that in her first season.
5. Tynomi Banks: Canada’s Drag Race Season 1
The breakout star of Canada’s Drag Race inaugural season and legend of Toronto queer nightlife, Tynomi Banks is about to solidify her mark on the WORLD!
6. La Kahena: Drag Race France Season 1
I’ll be so real with you all, je ne connais pas cette reine… (I don’t know this queen). But I’m extremely excited to get to know her and see her serve.
7. Kennedy Davenport: RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 7, All Stars Season 3
Thee queen herself. Infamous season 2 All Stars runner up. But this time she says that she’s running straight to the bank, baby!
8. Le Fil: RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Season 4
In her own words, Le Fil is an “all-singing, all-dancing, all-sewing Chinese pop star from Brighouse, made in the north!” That’s a different north than Canada but We The North welcome you wholeheartedly nonetheless, Le Fil.
9. Miss Fiercalicious: Canada’s Drag Race Season 3
Well, well, well, I saved the best for last. If you haven’t already been introduced to this queen, get ready for a fierce and delicious treat this summer!
