Sylvester Stallone’s daughter joins the legendary movie star in his first leading television role in Tulsa King. The new hit Taylor Sheridan series takes a break from the Yellowstone universe and supposedly takes place in its own reality. Focused on Sylvester Stallone’s exiled New York mobster, Dwight “The General” Manfredi, Tulsa King is a family and crime drama punctuated by moments of comedy.
Sylvester Stallone’s daughter, Scarlet Rose Stallone, joins the cast of Tulsa King as Spencer the barista. She first appears in Tulsa King season 1, episode 2, “Center of the Universe,” after which she becomes a recurring character who appears in a total of five episodes. As the barista at a café that Dwight frequents, Spencer is the one who tells Dwight that Pilot, the white horse roaming around the city, will be put down. This prompted Dwight to purchase the horse and hire Spencer as Pilot’s full-time caretaker. Though Dwight’s future remains uncertain after the Tulsa King season 1 ending, Spencer is expected to make a return in Tulsa King season 2.
Sylvester Stallone Stars On Tulsa King
There was a time of course when the thought of someone like Stallone playing a role in a scripted TV series was unimaginable. But times have definitely changed, and now it’s not uncommon at all to see major movie stars make the leap to TV and streaming. Tulsa King creator Sheridan indeed seems to have a particular knack for convincing big-name movie talent to take the small screen plunge, luring everyone from Kevin Costner to Harrison Ford to his stable of Paramount+ shows.
Sheridan of course is known for shows with a more Western flavor like Yellowstone, 1923, and 1883. However, Tulsa King sees him entering the world of modern-day mobsters, with Sopranos writer Terence Winter as the first season’s showrunner. The big get for Sheridan though is Stallone, who jumped aboard to lead the Tulsa King cast. After Winter left over creative differences, it still remains unclear who could serve as showrunner for the next season. That said, alongside Sylvester Stallone’s daughter and most of the cast, Stallone himself is expected to reprise his role.
Scarlet Stallone Stars Alongside Her Dad In Tulsa King
Sylvester Stallone’s daughter only has one prior credit on her resume: having appeared alongside her dad in the 2014 movie Reach Me. While Scarlet Rose Stallone’s Spencer the barista seemed to have just a small role in her first appearances, Dwight hiring her to take care of Pilot full-time turned Spencer into an interesting supporting character. The former barista has since become a valuable member of Dwight’s team — particularly Dwight’s efforts at keeping his family close. With Dwight in prison, however, the future of both Spencer and Pilot remains unclear, and could become a vital plot point in Tulsa King season 2.
