The WWHL host had “respect” for Lala Kent breaking the fourth wall in the Season 11 finale.
When it comes to the drama that started between Lala Kent and Ariana Madix on the Vanderpump Rules Season 11 reunion, Andy Cohen can’t take sides.
After Part 3 of the reunion aired on May 28, the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host weighed in on Lala’s finale hot mic moment, when she criticized Ariana for refusing to interact with her ex, Tom Sandoval.
Andy noted that he understood “both sides” of the argument. While Lala felt like Ariana should interact with her ex on-camera because they were still residing in the same house and because they are on a show together, Ariana argued that it would not be authentic to her life for her to converse with him.
“When they broke the fourth wall, as a reality producer, I really respect what she was saying about ‘We are all on this show and this is doing our jobs,’” Andy said during a chat with Us Weekly about Lala’s perspective. “I think it’s one of those great arguments where I could see both sides.”
During the May 8 broadcast of his Sirius XM show, Radio Andy, Andy also said that Lala, Ariana, and Scheana Shay were all “a little bit right” in their arguments stemming from the fourth-wall breaking moment on the finale.
“The best kind of issues or arguments or whatever on these shows are when everybody is a little bit right,” Andy explained on his radio show. “And this seems to be one where everybody is right.”
“Look, it was also interesting that — I thought Scheana and Lala’s reactions were really interesting — because Scheana, who’s been the ride or die for Ariana, she was not ride or die there in that last moment,” Andy continued. “She was making points.”
Lala Kent’s off-mic moment during Part 3 of the Vanderpump Rules reunion
While many are privy to everything that went down on the Season 11 reunion stage, some may be surprised to learn that Lala also spoke to Scheana backstage.
“I don’t f-cking care that I hurt anyone’s feelings,” Lala told the “Good as Gold” singer, noting that she doesn’t often interact with Ariana or Katie. “Ariana, I like, barely see. But Katie, I don’t give a f-ck.”
Scheana responded by saying that Katie “doesn’t act like she gives a f-ck about you.”
“Well if she doesn’t, it’s like, let’s stop pretending then,” Lala answered. “Let’s stop pretending. I just want to live a f-cking happy life.”
Lala also wasn’t too happy that her former boss, Lisa Vanderpump, seemed to be in Ariana’s corner during the three-part reunion.
“Watching Lisa defend [Ariana] so hard when it’s like, [at the] Season 9 reunion, I did not want to f-cking be grilled about my ex who did me f-cking filthy,” Lala continued. “But instead I was greeted with, ‘You lose ’em how you get ’em.’ And then just now, Ariana got to walk away when she was uncomfortable.”
Lala admitted she was feeling “a little f-cking annoyed” about it all.
“You think I wanted to show up that day?” she told Scheana. “No.”
