Yellowstone has made its long-awaited network TV debut on CBS, and here are the times and dates for each episode of the Kevin Costner-fronted drama.

Yellowstone has finally landed on CBS, and here’s what time and date viewers can expect episodes to drop. The Kevin Costner-fronted Western drama is one of the most unexpected TV success stories of recent years, with the series spawning a host of Yellowstone spinoff shows, including 1883 and the forthcoming Lawmen: Bass Reeves. The show was given a boost by the star power of Costner, but the franchise’s wide-reaching success has outgrown the actor to such an extent that his impending exit following season 5 doesn’t seem to concern Paramount at all.

After only previously being available on streaming platforms, Yellowstone is set to gain a new host of fans following its network TV debut on CBS. Of course, the bad language and bloody violence featured on the show will be toned down somewhat to meet broadcast standards. Even in this slightly sanitized version, it will undoubtedly become a major hit for CBS, with the first episode “Daybreak” netting an impressive 6.6 million viewers (via Variety). Those numbers bode very well for its future on the network, as viewers who’ve only heard about the series will get to experience it for the first time.

Yellowstone Season 1 Is Airing Sundays At 8pm ET On CBS

Yellowstone’s first episode aired on Sunday, September 17th between 8:30-10:30 pm on CBS. Following this debut, episodes will now shift to an 8 pm. ET time slot on the network. Two episodes are set to air back to back every week from this point on, and with the premiere out of the way, there are eight episodes left to go in season 1.

Will All Seasons Of Yellowstone Be On CBS?

Part of the reason Yellowstone is arriving on CBS five years after its original debut is the ongoing Writers Guild of America and the SAG-AFTRA strikez. In order to fill out their fall schedule, the network has imported some Paramount shows like SEAL Team, but Yellowstone is by far the most prominent arrival. Those who tune into the series on CBS don’t have to worry that it will only air the first season either, as every series of Yellowstone is set to land on the network in due course.

If that eventually includes the planned final six episodes of Yellowstone, which have yet to be shot following behind-the-scenes issues involving Costner’s schedule, the actor’s planned exit, and the writer and actor strikes, time will tell. In light of Costner’s Dutton departing, an untitled sequel series – which may or may not be led by Matthew McConaughey – is currently in development. Whatever happens, Yellowstone itself is sure to have an even bigger fanbase by the time its CBS run comes to an end.

Where Else To Watch Yellowstone Online

While the more audience-friendly version of Yellowstone on CBS will benefit the franchise in the long run, the original, uncut version of the way creator Taylor Sheridan intended it to be seen. Muting swear words for Cole Hauser’s Rip or taking the sting out of the more violent moments might prove distracting to some, but there are plenty of other ways to experience the show online.

The first four and a half seasons of Yellowstone are currently streaming on Peacock, which is the best way to view every series thus far. People might logically assume it’s also available on Paramount+, alongside its various offshoots such as the Harrison Ford/Helen Mirren fronted 1923. Alas, Yellowstone itself isn’t available on the platform due to streaming rights issues. However, according to JustWatch, two seasons can be found on Paramount Network.
