When Luke Grimes finally joined Instagram back in September, his first post was to announce that he would be playing at Stagecoach Music Festival. “See you in the desert,” the Yellowstone actor wrote all those months ago. Unsurprisingly, the whole Yellowstone cast and crew jumped in to show their support. Among the first in the comments was the show’s official Instagram account, which sent fire emojis đĽ and Kelly Reilly with plenty of hearts. â¤ď¸ It seems the world has taken notice, too, because Luke Grimes’ music career and songs are really taking off.
Just a few months later, actor-turned-musician had another musical dream come true when a major music label released his first country song, “No Horse to Ride.” Good ol’ Universal Music Group Nashvilleâwhich represents country music heavyweights like Luke Bryan and Carrie Underwoodâsigned a record deal with Grimes and officially added him to their roster. Of course, Taylor Sheridan has been a major supporter of the various musical talents on his hit show. Grimes was quickly added to the list of actors whose songs have been featured on episode soundtracks, which, he said, “means the world.”
You know, small stuff!
“No Horse to Ride” was followed quickly by another new release, “Oh Ohio.” As an Ohio native, the train derailment in East Palestine and subsequent fallout for the area hit close to home. “Oh Ohio is a very dear one to my heart. If you feel like helping some good people out there will be a t-shirt available in the coming days on the website with 100% of the proceeds going to help the families in East Palestine. Much love,” Grimes wrote.
The sweetest part of all this musical success is seeing the continued support from the Yellowstone family, most notably from the one and only Kelly Reilly (aka Beth Dutton). When Grimes’ third single came out earlier this spring, Reilly didn’t limit herself to just the comments section. Instead, she shared the single with her own followers and encouraged fans to “give it a listen.”

“My friend @lukegrimes just released this song. Give it a listen .. it’s beautiful đ¤,” wrote the actress.
(An asideâwhoever is behind the Yellowstone Instagram account cheers for him on every single one of his music posts, and it’s really sweet đĽ˛)
Fans didn’t have to wait long to see the man in actionâStagecoach arrived in late spring, and he performed before a massive crowd. For his part, Grimes dedicated the moment “to the only one that really matters,” his wife.
