If horror had a human name, it would most probably be either Mike Flanagan, Shirley Jackson, or Stephen King. But halfway around the world, and in another hemisphere entirely, a latex Sylvester Stallone is hard at work to steal the title from the trio. As discovered recently by an Australian couple hunting for antiquities, the rubber doll which was initially dismissed as some manifestation of a factory product gone wrong soon realized it was far more valuable than it looked, and definitely a rarity worth its price tag of $4000.

Sylvester Stallone Becomes the Latest Subject of Nightmares

Despite his influence in the world of cinema and (recently) television, Sylvester Stallone has become a much more relevant conversational piece for the media and the people for resurfacing in Australia in the form of a latex doll. This version of Sly Stallone happens to be a prop from the sets of the famous 1993 film, Demolition Man, which launched another revolutionary actress of the 21st century, Sandra Bullock.

Even though the dystopian sci-fi epic debuted 30 years ago in October 1993, the horror of its plot still continues to haunt the modern audience. Much like the film itself, the frozen John Spartan has been revived out of suspended animation and let loose into a world 30 years in the future and the vision is not exactly a welcome one but rather something befitting a nightmare.

The original pictures that were posted by the Australian couple have since been taken down but that doesn’t account for much in an era of instant news and social media. The images have been shared and tweeted and tagged across multiple platforms and the fans are equally divided between appreciating the caricature-like creation of the prop team of Demolition Man and being horrified by it.

Sylvester Stallone From Demolition Man Has Woken Up

Adapted from Aldous Huxley’s brilliant futuristic dystopian novel, Brave New World, the Warner Bros. movie starring Sylvester Stallone, Wesley Snipes, Sandra Bullock, and Benjamin Bratt had rocked the box office awake from its stupor induced by an overdose of good films. 1993 stood witness to Jurassic Park, Schindler’s List, Sleepless in Seattle, Philadelphia, Groundhog Day, Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, Indecent Proposal, and The Firm.

Demolition Man, standing at a rating of 62% fetched in a hefty $159.1 million against a budget of $45-77 million. Despite the mysterious circumstances under which the prop of the cryogenically frozen Sylvester Stallone found its way to Australia, rest assured, it won’t be coming back to terrorize the people anytime soon.
