Big Brother 25 Competitions Have “Jumped The Shark” & Need To Be Revamped

Big Brother 25’s competitions have been skewed to those who are more physically inclined, making it difficult for the diverse cast to compete at all.

Big Brother 25 has changed up their competition styles through the years, but fans are accusing this season’s competitions of being the worst yet. As the long season of Big Brother carries on, the competition odds for women have been plummeting throughout the season. As it currently stands, the female competitors have only won 4 competitions throughout the season have won a competition, while the male competitors have dominated the rest. With what some are calling inequitable competitions, fans and Big Brother alumni have spoken out about the competitions, as well as what constitutes fair in a game that is inherently unfair.

For BB 25 competitors like Jag Bains, the competitions have been a lifeline during the game that have allowed him to continue his BB journey. While some are excited to see a steam roll, others are ciriticizing the competitions themselves. “[The last 2 HOHs] were different versions of the same game,” Reddit user u/lilac_wren shared, “[While] fun watch, it’s no surprise the same person won both.” Another user, u/Old-Confidence-164, explained, “This season comps are so geared toward the men…Make some comps that are at least POSSIBLE for [women].” With stale competitions that fans are hoping to change, something needs to change.

Big Brother 25 Accused Of Creating “Lazy” & “Bad” Competitions

Big Brother fans have been vocal about the competitions throughout the years, but in the most recent season, they have been louder than ever about the competitions being inequitable and bad. “I llove the diversity of age casting this season, but the legacy comps that rely partly or mostly on physical ability is obviously going to advantage a 20something year old man over several middle aged women,” u/jcspinney explained. “It was definitely predictable,” u/craftasopolis added. Big Brother viewers have been aware that the show’s production has a big hand in the house’s happenings. As u/Historical-Reach8587 shared, “[Production has] an agenda and “help” make sure things go as planned.”

While competitions have always been a huge part of the skill set required to play Big Brother, in recent years the style of competition has become geared towards physically fit men than ever before. Houseguests have been more diverse in age and body type in the last several years, but the competition styles have still proven to be vastly more physical. With competitions that very few of the houseguests have a genuine chance at winning, the odds that competitors with a more mental skill set will be able to win the game grow smaller with each week. Viewers are hoping to give houseguests who aren’t as physically inclined a shot.

While competitors like Big Brother 25’s Jag and evicted houseguest Cameron Hardin have been able to snag win after win throughout the season, the rest of the house hasn’t been quite as lucky. With several competitions that have been inclined to favor physical competitors, Big Brother hasn’t been the most fair or equitable when it comes to catering competitions to the houseguests. Though this is all a part of the game, it would make sense for Big Brother to reassess their strategy surrounding competitions before Big Brother 26.
