Brook Lynn Quartermaine is ready to be a wife!
The General Hospital recap for Monday, December 4, 2023, features Brook Lynn making Chase a very, very happy man.
General Hospital Recap Highlights
Also in this episode, Kristina opened up to Blaze, Sonny and Nina hashed out some issues, Drew had news for Carly, and Molly told TJ about her sister’s huge offer. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into the details.
Marry Me, I Mean It
Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) wasn’t sure what to make of Chase’s (Josh Swickard) proposal. In fact, she told him to get up and that she didn’t want him to feel pressured into something so big. Much to her surprise, Chase wasn’t feeling any pressure. Not from her mother or her grandmother. This was a decision he came to all on his own.
He showed her the gorgeous ring he bought and had been carrying in his pocket for weeks. Weeks before, Lois (Rena Sofer) and Gloria (Ellen Travolta) even broached the subject. It was his dad’s illness that had him running to a jeweler. Why wait when so much in life is uncertain?
With that all said, BLQ couldn’t deny his true intentions. She asked him to propose again. Chase got back down on bended knee, ring in hand, and asked her to be his bride. This time, BLQ said yes!
Moments Of Clarity
In the living room, Lois helped Ned (Wally Kurth) make sense of his anger toward Michael (Chad Duell). It was clear to her this was more about Michael closing HIS deal than closing THE deal. Lois found it sad the Quartermaine family would never stop feuding. Wasn’t it time they all saw the good in each other and got along? Eventually, Ned agreed that she was right.
At the same time, Drew (Cameron Mathison) turned up at Kelly’s to see Carly (Laura Wright). He found her in the kitchen listening to Joss (Eden McCoy) talk about all Adam’s problems (missed that part? Read all about it here). He cut that conversation short by announcing he was leaving town. Joss left so they could talk.
Drew told Carly he was taking a flight to Australia for work — tomorrow. It would only be a week, he said. Before he left, though, he wanted to take her to dinner. They closed up shop, kissed, and got going.
Over at Sonny’s office, Nina (Cynthia Watros) took issue with being kept in the dark. Sonny (Maurice Benard) laid out all the reasons why he separated business from pleasure. Heck, just look at how the feds went after Carly — even when she wasn’t his wife anymore. Little did he know Nina was the one who ratted her out.
Nina reminded Sonny that she was not like Carly. She was different. She was fierce. And, she would do anything to protect him. If he was in trouble, she needed to know. Risks be damned! Nina is his woman, and she deserves to be in the loop regardless of the consequences.
The Future Is Bright
Meanwhile, Kristina (Kate Mansi) took Molly (Kristen Vaganos) home and again offered to be her surrogate. She took off when TJ (Tajh Bellow) came home. Molly and TJ had a heart-to-heart about their baby predicament. Molly admitted to meeting the agent alone and all that happened after — including Kristina offering up her womb. TJ thought that was a great idea as long as Molly supported it, which she did. Let’s make a baby!
As for Kristina, she invited Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) back to her apartment. Blaze shared the news of her new single and they toasted to her success. And, not just “Blaze’s” success, but Alison Roger Ramirez’s success (Blaze’s real name).
The ladies talked about much of their past, with Kristina opening up about her old relationships. None of which were great, and one of which was very bad and abusive. Blaze knew how it was and felt for Kristina. Then, she reached out for her, and the two shared a sizzling kiss.
