Tom Cruise is on yet another impossible mission in Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One. This time, though, he is shooting two movies back-to-back. Having walked the block a few times now, Cruise has become quite the apt leader.

Many characters in the Mission: Impossible franchise are mainstays; Cruise (of course) playing IMF Agent Ethan Hunt, Simon Pegg as technical support Agent Benji Dunn, Rebecca Ferguson as former MI6 Agent Ilsa Faust, and Ving Rhames as IMF Agent Luther Stickell. But, with each new film, we meet new characters – good guys and villains alike – with notable mentions such as Henry Cavill and Jeremy Renner, who are best known for their work as superheroes in the DC and Marvel universes respectively.

Now, another hero is jumping into the fray as Guardians of the Galaxy star Pom Klementieff will also be joining in the upcoming adventure. She will be playing villain Paris, working alongside the film’s main antagonist Gabriel, played by Esai Morales. From the reports, her character is going to bring chaos. Speaking to Screenrant, the actress praised Cruise’s enthusiasm, s aying,

“Oh, my God. I mean, it’s mind-blowing. He’s so, so, so inspiring. He always pushes himself; challenges himself. Both Christopher McQuarrie and Tom have such love for moviemaking, and movies from all around the world. They know everything. They can quote so many movies. And they have such passion and attention to detail.”

Cruise is known for going above and beyond for films, risking his neck on a regular basis to get the right shot. She believes that it is his dedication to the role that brings that special something to the film.

“It goes with the training that Tom goes through, and that the other actors go through with an incredible stunt team and Wade Eastwood, who’s the stunt coordinator and worked on the previous movies as well. With the training and then shooting, and then always making things better with the editing and maybe reshooting sometimes. Just going again, revisiting the scene, and doing something different. And maybe going like, “What about this instead?” and then it makes the thing just perfect.”

The actress is thrilled with the final outcome, having already seen what audiences have waiting in store for them.

“I watched the movie as well, and it was hard for me to fall asleep at night because I was so excited. I was like, “Oh my God, what have you done? What have we done?” It feels like a masterpiece. It’s mind-blowing.”

Getting to work with Cruise on any film, especially an action-packed film like the Mission: Impossible franchise, must be quite high on a lot of actors’ lists, simply getting to observe him as he pulls of these insane stunts must feel like a privilege let alone going toe to toe with him as Klementieff does in the upcoming movie.

You can catch both Cruise and Klementieff in Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One coming to theaters on July 12.
