Matthew McConaughey has a lot going on lately, between promoting his upcoming children’s book and working on an untitled Yellowstone spin-off project. But he recently made time for a loved one, and he even shared it with his followers.

In a new Instagram post added to his official account on April 6, the Dazed and Confused alum shared a photo of himself walking alongside his wife Camila Alves at the 2023 Masters Tournament in Augusta, Georgia. The picture showed the model wrapping her arm around Matthew in support while he appeared to be focused on the course at hand.

Despite not looking at Camila, the Academy Award winner did use a popular sports reference to express how lucky he felt to have her by his side. “Hole in one,” Matthew captioned the post while nodding to the famous golf terminology.

Because it’s rare to see the Greenlights author and the Just Try One Bite co-writer together on social media, people flocked to the comments section after noticing it. They not only loved seeing them at the popular event, but many had choice words about their love as a whole.

“She’s a winner that’s for sure!” one person wrote on Instagram. “Love this! ♥️🥰 Couples that play together, stay together! 💕💞,” another follower responded. “Best pairing in golf 💙❤️🙏,” a different user replied.

Needless to say, seeing Matthew and Camila in love has everyone reminiscing about the road they took to get to where they are today. The two met in the spring of 2006 and began a family two years later with their son Levi in 2008 followed by their daughter Vida in 2010. After popping the question in 2011, the couple got married in 2012. A few months later, their son Livingston was born, completing their family.

What’s more, Matthew often talks about his marriage, which has roots in the great qualities he discovered Camila possessed early on in their courtship.

“I was not looking. I was sleeping well, I was spiritually sound, good with hanging with me,” he said on the Jess Cagle Interview series for People in June 2016. “But we met and the self-respect she had for herself, the way I understood her and her relationship with family, her own family, the way she respected me, but never took anything for granted.”

He continued: “We went out on our first date three nights later, and I knew then that the next night after that I wanted to go out on another date … And I’ve been wanting to go out on a date with her for the last nine years not with anybody else.”
