NCIS: Hawai’i is the latest installment in the franchise, and with it comes a new cast for audiences to come to know and love. The NCIS: Hawai’i cast ranges from industry veterans to unfamiliar faces. As the franchise’s fourth installment, NCIS: Hawai’i follows a group of mainlanders as they are transplanted to the NCIS Pearl Harbor station in Hawai’i. The station is run by the special agent in charge, Jane Tennant, tasked with putting together a team to take with her on her new assignment.

The NCIS: Hawai’i cast focuses on solving naval-based crimes. However, the series also focuses on balancing duty and family, the struggles of being a female agent in a male-dominated field, and mysteries unique to Hawai’i. NCIS: Hawai’i also marks the first time a spin-off of the NCIS franchise has a woman in the lead: Special Agent Jane Tennant, who joins the likes of Special Agent Leroy Gibbs (who left the main NCIS), G. Callen, Sam Hanna, and Dwayne Pride as the special agent in charge.

Vanessa Lachey is Jane Tennant in the NCIS: Hawai’i cast. She’s confident, capable, and multi-faceted. As the first female special agent in charge of NCIS Pearl Harbor, Jane Tennant is balancing her life between fighting for her rightful place in a male-dominated field and raising her children, Julie and Alex Tennant. While managing 40 agents and her children, Jane tackles cases ranging from mysterious aircraft crashes to WWII-era cold cases.

Actress Vanessa Lachey is a former Miss Teen USA and the wife of 98 Degrees lead singer Nick Lachey. She previously held roles in series like 30 Rock, How I Met Your Mother,Hawaii Five-O, and Truth Be Told. Lachey has also appeared in films like Disaster Movie and hosted television reality shows Love is Blind and The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On.

Alex Tarrant As Kai Holman

Kai Holman of the NCIS: Hawai’i cast was a native of Hawai’i, born and raised in Waimanalo. After his mother’s death, Kai left the islands to join the Marines. After rising through the ranks and spending three years with the Criminal Investigation Division, Holman requested a placement at NCIS Pearl Harbor after learning his father had fallen ill. Holman is a highly qualified agent, having beat out over 50 other agents to be hand-selected for the team by Jane Tennant.

Alex Tarrant is a veteran of both the stage and the screen. Born in Auckland, New Zealand, Tarrant has appeared in projects worldwide, including When We Go To War, Filthy Rich, the 2021 film Night Raiders, and the 2021 TV series Vegas. Tarrant also had a recurring role on Amazon’s Rings of Power cast as Valandil.

The Second-In-Command Who Is A Former Homicide Detective

Jesse Boone is an NCIS field agent and second-in-command at NCIS Pearl Harbor. Having worked together the longest, Boone and Tennant are the closest members of the team. Boone previously worked as a homicide detective before his installment in NCIS Pearl Harbor, making him an expert interrogator and a veteran police officer. Like Tennant, Boone is also dedicated to his family and the islands of Hawaii.

Mills also portrayed Nico in Marvel’s The Falcon and the Winter Solider .

On top of his history as a high-end fashion model, actor Noah Mills has made multiple TV appearances. Mills has appeared in series like 2 Broke Girls, The Baker and the Beauty, and The Enemy Within. Mills also portrayed Nico in Marvel’s The Falcon and the Winter Solider. He also appeared on The Brave as Joseph “McG” McGuire.

Yasmine Al-Bustami As Lucy Tara

Lucy Tara is the Junior Field Agent on the NCIS Pearl Harbor team. What she lacks in experience, she makes up for in eagerness. Lucy is determined to prove herself to her team, and she is always looking for ways to do that; whether it’s finding evidence or taking out the bad guy, Lucy always wants to be the one to do it. Tara is also the franchise’s first LGBTQIA+ agent.

Yasmine Al-Bustami is no stranger to television. Before being in the NCIS: Hawai’i cast, Al-Bustami appeared in series like S.W.A.T, Switched at Birth, and Nashville. Al-Bustami also played Monique Deveraux in The Originals. At the same time that she starred in NCIS: Hawai’i, Al-Bustami was also part of the main cast of The Chosen, as Ramah, the fiance of the Apostle Thomas.

No NCIS team is complete without a tech specialist, and joining the likes of Pauley Parette’s Abby Sciuto, Eric Beale, and Nell Jones is Ernie Malik of the NCIS: Hawai’i cast, the Cyber Intelligence Specialist at NCIS Pearl Harbor. Ernie is a jack-of-all-trades concerning information and an essential NCIS Pearl Harbor team member. Whether it’s tracking IP addresses, social media leads, or obscure knowledge on the islands of Hawai’i, Ernie can do it all.

Jason Antoon has previously made appearances in television, movies, and Broadway. On TV, Antoon appeared in series like iZombie and Sex and the City; in terms of movies, Antoon made his big-screen debut in Minority Report; and, on Broadway, Antoon was a cast member in the Tony-award-winning Contact. He’s also played Ken Brickman in Claws and played Omar in the Anna Kendrick Christmas movie Noelle.

The NCIS: Hawai’i cast in season 3 picked up a major new character – and a surprising one. After appearing as one of the main stars in NCIS: Los Angeles throughout its run, LL Cool J brings Sam Hanna to Hawai’i to join onboard as a recurring cast member. Sam was one of the Special-Agent-In-Charge in Los Angeles, and he showed up in the third season to work alongside Jane Tennant and her team at the NCIS Pearl Harbor, following the traumatic events of the season 2 finale.

LL Cool J got his start as a rapper but soon moved on to become a very successful television and movie star. On the big screen, he has been acting since the 1990s, with roles in everything from Halloween H2O: 20 Years Later and Deep Blue Sea to Any Given Sunday and S.W.A.T. On television, he remains best known for his role as Sam Hanna on NCIS: Los Angeles. LL Cool J explained his move to NCIS: Hawai’i, from a storyline point of view (via Parade).

“I think that that’s important, because somebody just sitting behind a desk may not necessarily understand what it’s like being in the field and going through some of the traumatic things that these agents go through, but Sam can relate to that, right?”

NCIS: Hawai’i Supporting Cast And Characters

Tori Anderson as Kate Whistler: Kate Whistler of the NCIS: Hawai’i cast is the go-between for NCIS Pearl Harbor and the Defense Intelligence Agency. Whistler is also Lucy Tara’s love interest and played a huge role in locating and rescuing Tennant in the season 2 finale. Tori Anderson is best known for her roles in Killjoys and Blindspot.

Kian Talan as Alex Tennant: Alex Tennant is Special Agent Jane Tennant’s 16-year-old son. Talan has previously appeared in The Good Doctor, but NCIS: Hawai’i is his first major television role.

Mahina Napoleon as Julie Tennant: Julie Tennant of the NCIS: Hawai’i cast is Jane Tennant’s daughter and youngest child with her ex-husband Daniel. NCIS: Hawai’i is Napoleon’s first television credit, but she will soon appear in The Walking Dead: Dead City as Ginny.

Enver Gjokaj as Joe Milius: Captain Joe Milius is a high-ranking Naval officer who initially clashes with the team to keep military secrets a secret, but still respects Tennant as a leader — and love interest. Gjokaj is best known for playing Viktor in Dollhouse and Daniel Sousa in Agents of SHIELD. He’s also had roles in The Rookie and Resident Alien.

Julie White as Maggie Shaw: Maggie is a friend of Jane Tennant and a former CIA agent who is also related to Adrian Creel. After both of them believe him to be dead after they set up a car bomb, Creel is revealed to be alive. Maggie kills him and flees in the season 2 finale. Actress Julie White is known for playing Judy Witwicky in the Transformers franchise and voices Kimberly on Big Mouth.

Sharif Atkins as Captain Norman ‘Boom Boom’ Gates: Norman Gates of the NCIS: Hawai’i cast is a reserved Gunnery Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps and explosives expert for the NCIS: Hawai’i team. He also works for the Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit. Sharif Atkins had an arc on ER as Michael Gallant and has made various appearances on shows like The Rookie, 9-1-1, and Queen of the South.

Seana Kofoed as Commander (Dr.) Carla Chase: Carla Chase of the NCIS: Hawai’i cast is a jack of many trades. She’s a commander in the U.S. Navy, a Medical Examiner at Naval Base Pearl Harbor, and finally, the medical examiner for the NCIS: Hawai’i team. Seana Kofoed has made several television appearances, but her longest stint other than NCIS: Hawai’i was playing Jane Burns on Men in Trees.
