After years as one of the biggest action stars in the world, Sylvester Stallone’s career has taken an unexpected turn as of late. Between things like breaking up with and getting back together with his wife, Stallone’s personal life is now in the spotlight.

Lots of fans are also talking about Stallone’s daughters’ love lives and the fact that he is now starring in a reality show with his wife and kids. Given how much attention the other women in Stallone’s life are getting, it makes sense to learn a fascinating fact about his mom, Jackie Stallone.

Has Sylvester Stallone Had Plastic Surgery?

Since Sylvester Stallone has been a world-famous actor for decades as of this writing, fans have gotten to see how he has changed over the years. As anyone who has watched Stallone’s movies and red-carpet appearances will no doubt have already noticed, his face has changed a lot.

Since most stars won’t confirm that they had any procedures done even if they obviously have, it shouldn’t surprise anyone that Stallone doesn’t regularly talk about how different he looks. In fact, Stallone once denied having plastic surgery earlier in his career.

Before Stallone’s face underwent dramatic changes, some observers noticed he had a scar by his left ear. As a result, some observers assumed Stallone had undergone a facelift back then which the actor denied while talking to People in 1992.

“People see this scar and think I’ve had a facelift. They don’t notice that I don’t have a scar over here by my right ear. What do they think? That I could only afford to have half of it done?” While Stallone denied going under the knife at that time, he was willing to say he was open to it in the future.

“Sure. Why not do it? You have body work done on your car.” Later on when Stallone was asked about his changing face, the famous actor admitted that he’d had some work done. That said, Stallone was only willing to say he’d had a facelift done to repair nerve damage he suffered to his face as a child.

According to experts who have seen photos of Stallone’s changing face, he has had a lot more done than just a single facelift. When considering these expert opinions, it is important to note that they haven’t seen Stallone in person, and they certainly haven’t examined or treated the famous actor.

In May 2023, The U.S. Sun spoke to plastic surgeon Dr. Richard Westreich about how Stallone’s face has changed. According to that expert, Stallone likely has undergone several other procedures including having fillers injected into his face.

“Maybe there’s been fillers during the years because there were times Sly looked swollen.” Later in the same interview, Westreich elaborated on what he thinks the effect of getting the filler injected in his face has been for Stallone.

“I think he has had Botox and filler at various points in time, and probably a little bit of that going on right now. At times he looked a little over-injected; his brows were arched a lot. In some of the older photos where he had darker hair, it almost made him look like he had a hair transplant. It’s possible that he has.”

Westreich also told The U.S. Sun that he believed that Stallone had undergone a couple more procedures. First off, Westreich professed his opinion that Stallone had gotten work done on his lips.

“It also looks like he’s had his upper lids done, which is not unusual for middle-aged men.” Westreich also stated that he believed Stallone had a similar procedure done to his eyes. “I think he had the upper eyelid lift at the time of the facelift.”

While Westreich believed that Stallone has had more plastic surgery than he has admitted, that isn’t all he had to say. While talking about the procedures he believed every member of Stallone’s family has undergone, Westreich put that into perspective. “I don’t even think the Stallones have consumed more plastic surgery than the average person (in Hollywood).”

How Did Jackie Stallone Feel About Her Plastic Surgery?

Just like her most famous son, Jackie Stallone’s face noticeably changed a lot by the time she passed away in 2020. In 2014, Jackie Stallone sat down with The Daily Mail and spoke about the plastic surgery procedures she’d undergone.

While talking to The Daily Mail, Jackie Stallone expressed her opinion that she’d become a hero for many people in the entertainment business.

“I became a role model for the movie stars at 50, because what they dread more than anything is getting old and shot. But I get more popular as I get older. Hollywood fears age, but I think old is coming in. I think cougars are coming back. We’d all like to get there, get there like me. Not on a walker, not in a nursing home.”

Even though some people may question how much work Jackie Stallone had done, she told The Daily Mail that she thought plastic surgery is great. “I’m all for everything to make it (you) look good – anything and everything.”

Jackie Stallone then went on to fully admit to having several procedures done to her face, but she vehemently denied having Botox.

“I’ve had chemical peels, I’ve had three of those and about 50 injections. No Botox, I don’t need that, what I want Botox wouldn’t help. I don’t have wrinkles in my forehead, I genetically don’t have that, that’s something I can be thankful for.”

In her Daily Mail interview, Jackie Stallone made it very clear that she was proud of the way she took care of herself. After all, she claimed to be a role model and defended having plastic surgery done. However, Jackie Stallone was equally willing to admit that she regretted having so many injections in her face.

“Actually I’ve got too much, I look like I’ve got a mouth full of nuts, it’s Juvederm (a cosmetic filler), too much of it. I feel as though I look like a chipmunk.” Jackie Stallone also expressed her opinion that many Hollywood plastic surgeons are hacks.

“But most of the plastic surgery in Beverly Hills is rotten. I have seen on TV and in person the biggest hacks. I will go to other states.”
