The Kraze craze has had its ups and downs.
Kristina and Blaze – affectionately known by fans as Kraze – are General Hospital’s new fan favorite couple. But the April 3, 2024 episode made it clear the two seem to have more rifts than repairs in their blossoming relationship.
The Face Of Deception
After Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) agreed to become the new face of Deception after Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) quit, she and Maxie (Kirsten Storms) showed up at Nina’s (Cynthia Watros) Crimson office to introduce them. But what Blaze wasn’t expecting was for Kristina (Kate Mansi) to also be there.
Maxie not only revealed that Blaze is the new face of Deception before she could tell her girlfriend, but when Nina remembered her from Sonny’s wedding, she remarked, “So, you remember Kristina then?”
Rather than admitting their relationship, Blaze simply said she remembers Kristina, who was visibly insulted. Before leaving the office, Kristina turned to Blaze and remarked, “Face of Deception… yeah, I can really see it.”
Nothing New For Kraze
While having Kristina and Blaze as GH’s latest LGBTQ+ representation has been a breath of fresh air for the show, this isn’t the first time the couple have had issues with each other’s actions. Because Blaze had to hide her sexuality for so long, it conditioned her to keep secrets regarding who she was dating.
Blaze has blown their relationship off as nothing more than friends to several people, including at first her mother Natalia (Eva LaRue), who has been in the process of accepting her daughter. Blaze was also hesitant to reveal their relationship to her music manager Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) before finally admitting it to everyone at Scout’s (Cosette Abinante) birthday party.
