Mission Impossible star Tom Cruise reportedly has his eye on the Colombian actress Sofia Vergara and is “set to pounce” after her recent split with husband of seven years Joe Manganiello
Hollywood icon Tom Cruise is reportedly looking to rekindle his 2005 romance with Sofia Vergara after she has seperated with her husband of seven years Joe Manganiello.
The America’s Got Talent judge announced that she has her husband were parting ways last month due to irreconcilable differences.
It seems that this is good news for Tom who is “set to pounce” on the Colombian actress.
Allegedly Tom told close friends that Sofia is “the one that got away” and he “regretted” their breakup in 2005.
A source told Heat: “They do have that history already, even if it was more of a brief dalliance than a fully-fledged romance.”
“They had a special time together partying in the Hollywood hills and having a blast.
“Sofia wasn’t really giving out the signals back then that she wanted anything long-term, so it petered out in a totally amicable fashion and they remained friends.”
The source claimed Tom’s split from Sofia has “eaten away at him”.
Tom broke up with Sofia and married Katie Holmes in 2006 and the pair ended up getting a divorce after six years together.
The Top Gun star claims that Sofia’s beauty and success are what attracts him to her, and Tom is convinced the two would be the newest Hollywood power couple, sources say.
They added that Sofia is looking to “let her hair down” for a while and won’t really start dating until the divorce is finalised.
It’s unclear if Sofia would be interested in rekindling her romance with her ex.
Tom will have his work out out for him though and the sources explained that The Modern Family actress is already fighting off plenty of potential partners.
The said that her “phone is already blowing up with DMs from eligible guys, which she’s flattered by, but not taking too seriously.”
Daily Star has commented Tom Cruise’s and Sofia Vergara’s reps for comment.
