Tracy Quartermaine was one proud grandma!

The General Hospital recap for Monday, December 11, 2023, features Tracy being welcomed home with two big reveals.

General Hospital Recap Highlights

Also in this episode, Violet got wedding fever, Nina opened up to Sonny, Dante got Sam up to speed on his investigation, and Curtis shared his excitement. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into the details.

Wedding Talk

Over at Finn’s place, Violet (Jophielle Love) finished her song and got back to wedding details. She wanted to know the when, where, and how many brides and grooms of it all (big hint on two brides and grooms, Dad). Chase (Josh Swickard) and Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) were saved by the bell when Lois called her home.

Violet was soon whisked off for a bedtime story with Gregory (Gregory Harrison). In the living room, Finn (Michael Easton) leaned on Liz (Rebecca Herbst) and wondered if this would be his dad’s last Christmas. Later, Liz left to take Gregory home.

Meanwhile, back home at the Quartermaine mansion, Tracy (Jane Elliot) grunted her distaste for the decor — which didn’t sit well with Leo (Easton Rocket Sweda). In fact, he said Christmas was ruined since she was back. The holiday is supposed to be fun, and Tracy doesn’t like fun. Tracy assured him she could be fun…sometimes.

With that, Leo went upstairs, leaving Lois (Rena Sofer) and Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) to update Tracy that her son was her son again. Tracy took great offense to not being told sooner. How dare they keep her in the dark!

Talk then turned to the real reason Tracy was home. She said it was to retrieve her Power of Attorney papers for Luke’s estate. Is it that, or did she want to be with her family on the holidays?

The conversation ended when BLQ and Chase came in. Brook Lynn was happy to see her grandma, and Tracy was just as happy to see her. Speaking of being happy, Tracy wanted to know why her granddaughter was so…happy. Well, they’re engaged! That’s why! Tracy was pleased as punch. Now, how about a prenup?

Nothing But Problems

Meanwhile, Nina (Cynthia Watros) got home from shopping and laid all her gifts out for Sonny to see. Did she go overboard? Yes. But, this is their first Christmas as a couple, and she wanted to make it special.

Sonny noticed there wasn’t much for Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), Michael (Chad Duell), and the kids. Nina explained she didn’t want to upset Michael by doing too much since they still weren’t on great terms.

Sonny didn’t like hearing about the tension and offered to call up his son and make it better. Nina shot that down full stop. This is HER mess, and she’ll be patient and wait it out. She can’t expect people to trust her after what she did.

Across the hall, Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and Sam’s (Kelly Monaco) talk of the holidays came to a halt when she found the locker key in his pocket. He told Sam all about the case, the WSB drama, and that he wanted to figure out what the key was for before handing it over. Sam didn’t like that very much but Dante was determined to solve this piece of the case.

At the same time, Joss (Eden McCoy) got to know Dex (Evan Hofer) a little better when he had a humbug attitude toward getting a tree. It turned out that he didn’t like Christmas much since it was a rough time for his family. In fact, he also didn’t like his family.

Sharing The Joy

Over at the Ashford house, Curtis (Donnell Turner) updated Marshall (Robert Gossett) on Portia’s (Brook Kerr) suggestion. He has a chance to walk again! Marshall was apprehensive, though. He didn’t love the idea of his son being used as a guinea pig.

Curtis explained his side, what he knew about the study, and also that he’d made up his mind. The risk is worth it to him. After some thought, Marshall promised to support his son no matter what.
