In the General Hospital recap for Wednesday, November 8, 2023, Tracy packed her bags and left for Amsterdam while Neddie took an unusual leap of faith.

General Hospital Recap Highlights

Also in this episode, Sasha smoothed things over between Brook Lynn and Maxie, Chase snooped around the hospital, and Michael dropped a hint. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into the details.

Dealing With Drama

Tracy (Jane Elliot) was all packed up and ready to head out, but not before saying her goodbyes. She informed Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) that she was leaving to help Bobbie settle Luke’s affairs and urged her to fix Neddie (Wally Kurth). At least get the man some therapy!

Her next farewell was to Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton). She once again offered her the golden key to Deception but BLQ once again turned her down. Thanks but no thanks. Lois (Rena Sofer) overheard and tried to talk sense into her daughter but she stood firm. She hugged her grandma goodbye and wished her a safe trip.

As for Neddie, he was in the parlor obsessing over his song. Lois took the lyrics, threw them in the fireplace, and told him to start problem-solving instead of moping. Neddie did just that. He went out to the boathouse to get some air and figure out who this Siren was that he was seeking.

This resulted in the Siren’s song playing over and over in his head. He threw off his jacket, kicked off his shoes, and took a leap of faith — right into the water!

Back inside, Lois assured Olivia that she was seeing underlying signs of Neddie coming back to himself. The ladies had a heart-to-heart talk about space and commitment. Olivia eventually took off to find her man. All she found were his belongings.

The Awful Truth

Meanwhile, Ava (Maura West) showed up at Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) office all but begging for an update on Nik. Sonny told her to forget Nik, she should turn her attention to Austin (Roger Howarth). He’s her real enemy. He then connected all the dots for her. Mason’s (Nathanyael Gray) boss is Cyrus (Jeff Kober) and Austin played her from the start. Ava was devastated.

As for Mason, he was all Chase (Josh Swickard) could think about. And talk about. He turned up in Austin’s office to have a chat about his cousin. Of course, Austin played it off as he wasn’t that close and had no hand in Mason’s crimes. Chase did not believe him.

Chase’s next stop was to see the man himself. He warned Mason that taking his boss’s name to the grave could result in a lengthy sentence. Mason announced he was open to a deal and to get the D.A. Chase left to do just that.

Well, at least he appeared to be. Instead, he circled back just in time to see Austin take to his cousin’s bedside. What he didn’t hear was Austin and Mason bickering about whether or not to rat out Cyrus.

Fresh Starts

Michael (Chad Duell) got a nice surprise when he went to the office and found Carly (Laura Wright) and Drew (Cameron Mathison). He was thrilled to see Drew and the trio discussed the whole SEC mess. Drew wanted to forget all about it, especially considering the main suspect was Ned. However, Michael suggested it wasn’t. What he didn’t do, though, was tell them who it really was.

At the same time, Brook Lynn showed up at Deception to check on Maxie (Kristen Storms). Her visit was not welcome at first. Thankfully, Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) was there to smooth things over and push the gals to be pals again.

After BLQ left, Maxie got the phone call of a lifetime. Famed photographer Salvadore was open to doing a Deception shoot. Maxie was elated…until she wasn’t. She worried it wasn’t the right time. Sasha, again, sprinkled her magic and assured Maxie she was more than ready to be the face of Deception once again.
