Starring in the 1981 movie, Harrison Ford found fame for portraying the iconic character of Indiana Jones in Raiders of the Lost Ark. Although the movie created quite a franchise, the release of the movie could have been sooner.

Veteran actor-turned-director Clint Eastwood accidentally became the problem when a producer left Indiana Jones to work on Eastwood’s movie. The producer was, however, removed from the Clint Eastwood movie while Harrison Ford received his time to shine in the spotlight.

How Clint Eastwood Caused a Delay In Harrison Ford’s Movie

Starring in the iconic 1981 movie, Harrison Ford found fame and acclaim for his role as Indiana Jones in Raiders of the Lost Ark. With the film eventually turning into a franchise, Harrison Ford could have become famous sooner but Clint Eastwood delayed the film accidentally.

In the documentary titled The Making of Raiders of the Lost Ark, Star Wars creator George Lucas revealed some information that indirectly made the blame fall on Clint Eastwood. Talking about the producer named Phil Kaufman had a direct role to play in the delay of Raiders of the Lost Ark. During the early stages of Lucas pitching the film to Phil Kaufman, the producer was quite excited to work on the film.

Kaufman quickly switched sides when he offered his financial aid to Clint Eastwood. As per the reports, Frank Kaufman was sure that Eastwood’s film would be more successful than George Lucas’ story which wasn’t that famous at that time.

Unfortunately for the producer, he was removed from the Clint Eastwood film and also lost his part in Raiders of the Lost Ark. The Harrison Ford movie wouldn’t have faced a delay in the release if the producer hadn’t switched sides. Following Kaufman’s departure, it has been speculated that he went on to work on The Outlaw Josey Wales.

Harrison Ford Is Quite A Chaotic Person In Real Life

Back in 2015, the actor starred in The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. With Jimmy Fallon being quite the talker, Harrison Ford jokingly pointed out Fallon’s spit-take by commenting that he should show a little respect.

“I’m an Academy award-nominated actor, give me a little respect!”

The actor further revealed that while shooting the 2015 movie Star Wars: The Force Awakens, he suffered an injury while on the set. When asked about the nature of the injury, Ford’s hilarious reply took Jimmy Fallon by surprise.

“They closed a f*cking door on me!”

The actor was last seen in the iconic role of Indiana Jones in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. The film is currently screening in select theaters across the world.
