Shia LaBeouf is an incredibly well-known and talented figure in Hollywood. Though he has made a name for himself by starring in many massively successful projects like Honey Boy, Fury, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, and The Transformers series, it is quite unfortunate to know that he has been accused of a number of profoundly concerning things.

It would seem that another thing can be added to the list of things that make this actor a controversial figure. LaBeouf had some very interesting things to say about his opinions on method acting, one of the most trusted and used methods in the industry.

Shia LaBeouf Talks About Method Acting

Method acting is one of the most practiced methods of acting in Hollywood. Some of the most famous names like Meryl Streep, Christian Bale, Joaquin Phoenix, and Al Pacino, have all been very vocal about that method of acting and how it affects their performance. During an interview with Variety, Shia LaBeouf talked about his opinions about method acting, revealing that he is not a big fan of method acting, but not for the reasons one might think.

“The word is getting embarrassing,” he says. “You don’t hear about female method actors. The whole thing has turned into weird, false masculinity sh-t.”

While many actors shy away from this because of how it affects their behavior and how they treat the people around them, the actor has a different reason for not being a fan of this. He stated that he finds this word to be embarrassing. His reason for this is the fact that he does not like how the majority of the people who say that they are method, actors are male. Elaborating on this. He mentioned that it is very rare to hear about female method actors and this has led to the word being turned into some sort of false sense of masculinity.

Shia LaBeouf Got Into A Fight With Clint Eastwood’s Son

While Shia LaBeouf may or may not be on to something. It is quite odd for a sentiment like this to be coming from him. The reason for this is the fact that she got into a physical altercation with Clint Eastwood’s son, Scott Eastwood. The incident took place on the set of their World War II film, Fury, and got so out of hand, that Oscar-winning star Brad Pitt had to intervene and stop it from escalating.

“I never think your process as an actor should ever hinder how people are treated on set,” Eastwood said, looking back. “It should always enhance the production, not take away and put people in a situation where it’s a shitty work environment or you’re rude or people have to be in an uncomfortable situation.”

Eastwood reflected on what happened, explaining to Insider that there had been some miscommunication between him and LaBeouf about something that was going on in a scene. Eastwood was supposed to spit on a war tank as a part of the scene that was not there in the original script. Due to this, the change was something that LaBeouf was unaware of. The actor ended up getting extremely infuriated by this, which led to a heated confrontation between that two, which only ended after Pitt stepped in.
