Sylvester Stallone Expresses Regret Over Not Being A Supportive Enough Father As He Watches Daughter Fulfil Her Dreams

Sylvester Stallone may not be as popular on the big screen as he was during the 70s and 80s. But the big action star of Hollywood has never really gone out of demand. In the eyes of the public, the name Stallone still holds a power that can pull in crowds at a record rate to the theatres every time a new installment of The Expendables or Creed film franchise comes along.

However, now that Sly Stallone has retired from both the franchises and moved on to more television-oriented pursuits like a Taylor Sheridan drama and a reality TV show centered on his family, it’s a different culture that takes over the film star Stallone and replaces him with a more intimate and refined one.

Sylvester Stallone Regrets Being an Unsupportive Parent

Not many things are grave enough in their intensity to make us rife with guilt till the end of our days, but we have all had our fair share of regrets in life – enough to make a whole tragi-comic novel out of missed experiences and lost opportunities. For Sylvester Stallone, however, it is not a movie deal that he turned down or a romance gone wrong that haunts him but the lack of support he expressed to his daughter, leaving her to chase after her dreams knowing he didn’t believe in her as much.

During the emotionally driven sixth episode of The Family Stallone, titled The Stallones Go West, Stallone’s hesitation is clearly expressed when he attempts to discourage his daughter, Sistine Stalone from riding horses. But upon seeing the 24-year-old mastering her craft with grace and ease, he couldn’t be prouder as a father. Recalling his earlier reservations, Stallone admitted,

“I feel bad that I wasn’t as supportive as I should have been because nothing means more to me than the happiness of my children and knowing that they are fulfilling their dreams. And I know that my kind of insecurities affected Sistine and I’ll try harder next time.”

Both Stallone and Jennifer Flavin were then seen cheering their daughter on from the sidelines, with the actor claiming that she was a natural on horseback.

On May 24th, the show was renewed for a highly demanded second season by Paramount+ which is also home to Sylvester Stallone’s crime caper mafia drama, Tulsa King, created by Taylor Sheridan.
