The first episode of season one will air 8:30-10:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17.

The episode is called “Daybreak.”

“Academy Award winner Kevin Costner stars as John Dutton, patriarch of a Montana ranching family and owner of the largest ranch in the U.S. It’s the story of Dutton’s fight to defend his land and his family from the modern-day forces that threaten his way of life.”

“Yellowstone” premiered on Paramount Network in 2018.

The first half of its fifth – and final – season has aired. The midseason finale was on Jan. 1. In May of this year, Paramount announced the second half would air in November. The end of “Yellowstone” will be followed by a new spin-off, debuting in December, reportedly starring Matthew McConaughey.

At the time, it was reported that creator Taylor Sheridan and Costner had disagreements about the filming scheduling. It was reported that Costner will not be returning.
