It looks like Lainey Wilson might have to clear off some space on her trophy shelf! The Bell Bottom Country singer (and Yellowstone star) just received a huge honor, and her fans are thrilled to see it.

NBC and Peacock announced on August 16 that they’ll be hosting a brand-new awards show, and the focus is on our favorite country music stars. The People’s Choice Country Awards will air on September 28, and fans can start voting for their favorite nominees now.

After cleaning up at the ACM Awards back in May, it should come as no surprise that Lainey is the most nominated female artist for this new show. She received a whopping seven nominations: The People’s Artist of 2023, The Female Artist of 2023, The Song of 2023, The Album of 2023, The Music Video of 2023, and The Collaboration of 2023. She received two nominations for collaboration, for “wait in the truck” with HARDY and “Save Me” with Jelly Roll.

Lainey shared the news with her fans on Instagram. She wrote, “Holy moly y’all…this is insane. It’s an honor to be the most nominated female for the People’s Choice Country awards this year. 🙌🏻 Voting is open now through Aug. 25 at 11:59pm ET and votes count DOUBLE all day Tuesday, Aug. 22! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…I’m blessed with the best fans around.”

Lainey’s fans chimed in with comments like, “Atta girl, no one more deserving!” and “So well deserved!!! You are on fire girl 🔥🔥” Lainey’s Yellowstone co-star Ian Bohen wrote, “Good God Almighty!!!!”

The competition for The People’s Artist of 2023 is a who’s who of country music: Lainey is nominated alongside Blake Shelton, Kane Brown, Kelsea Ballerini, Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen, Old Dominion, and Zach Bryan. The Female Artist category includes Lainey and Kelsea, plus Ashley McBryde, Carly Pearce, Carrie Underwood, Elle King, Megan Moroney, and Miranda Lambert.

Little Big Town is hosting the event, and Toby Keith will receive the Country Music Icon Award. Voting for all 12 categories is open now! Cast your vote, then mark your calendar for the September 28 show to see who comes home a winner.
