The General Hospital recap for Tuesday, December 5, 2023, features Cyrus spending most of his day defending himself. First, he faced off with Ava and later, he went off on Laura until she finally understood his side.

General Hospital Recap Highlights

Also in this episode, Anna leaned on Felicia, Curtis and Sonny strategized,Blaze opened up to Kristina, and Pikeman’s henchmen laid out their plans. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into the details.

Never Good Enough

Cyrus (Jeff Kober) was busy mopping when Ava (Maura West) interrupted him. She informed him of Austin’s murder before promptly accusing him of being the one to take his life. Cyrus showed very little emotion over the death and threw Ava’s accusations back at her. Maybe SHE was the killer. Heck, at least he had an alibi. Could Ava say the same? With that, Ava stormed off.

No sooner did Ava leave than Laura (Genie Francis) stopped by. She had spent her morning helping Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) pack up and giving the young lady a pep talk. It seems that got her thinking about family. However, her appearance wasn’t exactly welcome by her brother.

It took no time for Cyrus to point out the hypocrisy of not being able to drop by Laura’s work. He then went off about how much he did — and does — for his family despite the way they all treat him. Even his own mother doesn’t care for him!

His rant hit all the right notes, and Laura’s heart melted towards him. She understood and offered up a bit of peace between them. As a gesture of good faith, he even told her his future plans. He’d be gone for a week, but not to worry! He wouldn’t be committing crimes. Cyrus would merely be visiting his mother. How nice.

Deadly Enemies

Speaking of crimes and criminals, Anna (Finola Hughes) couldn’t get past what she did. She visited Felicia (Kristina Wagner) to rehash all the events that led up to shooting poor Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez). Felicia agreed none of this was Anna’s fault. She couldn’t help being stalked and driven to the point of deadly force. All this for a file decades old that proved Forsyth to be a slime.

Also talking about Forsyth was Pikeman’s hitmen. Mr Brennon (if that’s his real name) was not only on Forsyth’s side but the new leader of the WSB and Pikeman’s inside man. He grumbled to his sidekick about the messes he now had to clean up and players he needed to finish off — including Anna.

But first, he had to find a way to get Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) cooperation. If money wasn’t working, they’d have to get fancy. Everyone has a price, after all.

As for Sonny, he was in his office with Curtis (Donnell Turner). The latter wanted a list of Sonny’s enemies as it was clear he was the target. Sonny was sure it had something to do with Anna’s stalker. It had to…since he also knew Pikeman’s guy was the head of the WSB.

It was simply too coincidental. The shooting happened, then Anna was put through hell, and now Pikeman’s team was trying to buy his loyalty. Now, the big question was, what could they do about it? How could they prove it?

Meanwhile, Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) showed off the locker key to Sam (Kelly Monaco) and explained why he had official evidence in the house and not at the station. Dante gave Sam the full rundown (as any good detective would). She wondered if this was all a setup to take out Anna. Hmm. Dante wondered, too.

Living On The Down Low

Over at Kristina’s (Kate Mansi), she and Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) pulled away from their kiss and had a good, honest talk about their lives. Blaze made it clear she was interested. Very interested. However, she had to love in secret since her family would never accept her coming out. She even feared her uncle was disowned for his sexuality.

Kristina opened up about her own story. Her mother was up in arms when she found out Kristina was dating a woman — but, it was because the woman wasn’t exactly age-appropriate. Sonny, on the other hand, showed her nothing but support. Blaze appreciated the tales of hope and soon took her leave.
