Yellowstone Fans Slam The Show After It Drops Major News On Instagram

Yellowstone fans, a new development just came out about the hit drama. But like a lot of news about the franchise these days, it’s bringing up major questions from its viewers.

In a video uploaded on the Paramount Network series’ Instagram on August 22, it was revealed that Yellowstone will now make its way to CBS for the fall TV season. As the clip showed snippets with John Dutton (Kevin Costner), his daughter-in-law Monica (Kelsey Asbille), his sons Kayce (Luke Grimes) and Jamie (Wes Bentley), his daughter Beth (Kelly Reilly) and her now-husband Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser), folks learned that they can watch season 1 every week starting on September 17.

“Experience the phenomenon from the very beginning,” read the official caption. “Watch #YellowstoneTV Season 1 starting Sunday, September 17, after 60 Minutes on CBS.”

While many folks were excited to see the Western drama is making its way to a broadcast network, some weren’t satisfied by the news. What’s more, they were begging for answers about when the final episodes of season 5 part 2 will air to round out this era of Yellowstone.

“It would be great to actually finish season 5,” one person wrote on Instagram. “It’s been seen a half dozen times, bring on the new season,” another added. “I for one am sick of watching these clips. When are new episodes out? I’ve almost seen more clips than the seasons combined!” a different fan lamented.

Many also voiced concerned that due to the nature of the show, many scenes will be censored to make it cable-friendly. “And they will cut everything,” one person wrote. “Every other word will be bleeped out,” said another.

Despite the cry for new episodes, Yellowstone viewers shouldn’t hold their breath. While multiple outlets shared that the final episodes are set to air this November, the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes may push back the release date to a later point. Although it’s hard to determine, we do know that some of the characters from Yellowstone may not just live on in this series.

When Deadline reported in May that Matthew McConaughey was in talks to star in a spinoff series, the outlet noted that the actor is expected to have “a handful of original Yellowstone cast members” with him on the project.

So, maybe there’s a chance we’ll see this version of the Dutton family in a different state of mind…
