With CMA Fest airing on July 19, fans will get an amazing performance from Yellowstone star Lainey Wilson. But she also made a name for herself in a way that has nothing to do with her impressive vocals: her equally bold approach to Hollywood fashion.
The country singer showed off her flair for couture when she walked the red carpet for the 55th annual CMA Awards in November 2021. There to present the award for Single of the Year, fans couldn’t believe how great she looked for her star-studded moment. Ditching her signature hat for the night, she showed up wearing a black long-sleeve blazer as a top that fit right in with her love for all things flashy and stunning.
Aside from the dark hue of Lainey’s garment, it stood out thanks to the unique decals placed all over, including what appeared to be jeweled flowers and designs outlined with different colored beads. As for the silhouette of the blazer, it featured slim pockets and a round hem at the bottom that’s not too traditional for the style of jacket. It gave a sense of whimsy for an event that’s well-revered among country music artists.
Since her jacket made an impression on the red carpet ahead of the ceremony, it was only fitting Lainey would wear other daring accents as well.
To pair with the coat, the “Heart Like a Truck”musician wore tiger-patterned bell bottom pants and a black belt buckle to tie the look together. To match the sparkly moment, she added layered diamond necklaces and cocktail rings. What’s more, she styled her blonde hair in beach waves, with curtain bangs framing the face. To make it all cohesive, she put on bold eyeliner and a mauve-colored lipstick.
When she posted highlights from the night on Instagram, folks made sure to let Lainey know how they adored seeing this look on her.

Needless to say, Lainey definitely has the luck for knocking a fabulous awards show ensemble out of the park.
